What the hell is going on ?

Last three games 11-1 goal difference....we've moved from minus 8 to plus 2 in one week...and only two points away from the play-offs.

Well done. What a thumping. Keep going and you could be in L1 next season. Just hope you have one off day, namely Tuesday 11th March

I have to say it pleases me immensely to see Argyle doing so well, not just the winning but the winning well, it's all good.

Can't say I'm delighted with things in the boardroom but we only know what has been and is being revealed to us and I'm sure it's not even half the story. Still I'm sure Brent & co know what they are doing better than me so I say let's concentrate on what is happening on the field. We have suffered for years and now it looks as it the tables have finally turned. Green Army!!!

Playoffs are looking a distinct possibility for Argyle. If you need a win in your final game it will create a hell of an atmosphere at Fratton Park

You never know Mrs LaLa you might start posting more often !!!

I'm sure your right....there is so much that we don't know about the boardroom.....and although staff had a rough deal...they will get their money back in the long run....I feel that it is just a little over the top at present regarding Wrathall....I know Gat won't like that....but what happens on the pitch is more important in the long run....I expect sensible is having an extra drink with his mates on the way home tonight.

right , back to things on the pitch,

Argyle kept their formation and team from the 4-0 drubbing of Fleetwood. - and boy did they deliver. At last we have come up with a formation that suits the talents of our players . 5 good goals in the early spring sunshine were just rewards for the performance. Never in doubt from the time the first goal went in. Wotton allowed conor and luke to play higher up the pitch and CH was outstanding going forward , Luke had a few iffy moments but soon settled down and played some great passes. All the goals were excellent- for me Alessandra's first was the pick but others will think otherwise. Alessandra was also my MOTM.

No negatives except the people leaving early-but i guess that is a done discussion.

Even the Morecambe players had a bit of banter during the match and kindly stood still for Alessandra's 2nd goal.

I think we should also 'park' the directors discussion-we cannot influence what happens in the boardroom but we can on the pitch. Decent crowd today and lets make sure we all get behind the team- i genuinely believe we can do this.

Speechless is basically what I was and still am to an extent. I have to say I never expected that. No bad players today from any position and even Cole managed to catch the ball when crossed more than once. There really is nothing to add to lyndhurst's efforts above.

Regarding "The other" subject. I was obviously talking to my football co-horts todays about "the goings on" elsewhere. My mate came up with a reasonable argument to work with. Essentially what you have to do is decide which bit of Argyle you want to be concerned with. If you enjoy the football experience and the beer after along with a moan or celebration then you have to void it from all of the rest and just concentrate on that. I have decided to concentrate on that and leave the rest of it to others if they want to kick off. I still think it's crap that this bloke is back in the Boardroom but as I can't do anything about it and I still want to g then I'm going to ignore it.

Great performance, Morecombe barely got a look in. They had 10 mins in the middle of the first half and another 10 at the start of the second when they tried to claw something back but the formation Sheridan is using at the moment soon becomes 5 at the back and Argyle were able to ride out the squal (I won't call it a storm) with some ease.

I agree with Lyndhurst that Alessandro was MoM (again), not just because he scored 2 but because of his all round contribution.

Little cameo for you. After the 1st goal went in, the forward players are celebtrating. Wotton is berating the back 3 for previous minor indiscretions.

6,827 in attendance, the 27 were from Morecombe.

A question for those of you who went yesterday.......any reaction that you noticed regarding Tony Wrathall's return.....GoS photo's showed him sitting in the directors box....also did Chris Webb go yesterday ?

I cannot quite get my head around the Webb situation......did he not welcome Wrathall last year when he sponsored a game...that was showing his support for the club.....but when he puts serious money in for a 5% share from Brents holding it is the end of the world.....what don't we know about the administration debacle.....and how much it was beyond Wrathall to do anything to stop it.....didn't he try by putting in serious money with no safeguards to help....heart decision....not head decision and he lost out.....yet he still wants to be involved....although some cannot accept that.

I certainly didn't hear any "Wrathall out" chanting from where I was in the Lyndhurst side and I was there from the beginning of the warm-up until the players had been clapped off at the end.

In fact, the "Green Army" refrain very nearly spread from the Devonport End at one point in the second half, which is so unusual as to suggest the feelgood factor was at a high level even in the more refined parts of the ground.

The only one who got significant stick was Barry Roche, the Morecombe keeper i.e. "you're four nil down and it's Barry's fault". I have no idea why that was or why the Devonport End are on first name terms with him. Somebody nearby suggested it might be because he's a character in East Enders when he's not playing football but I can't comment on that.

I did overhear a conversation nearby, mainly because I was listening, along the lines of: Fan A "I don't know what to say about this Wrathall bloke" Fan B "Well, we don't know what went on in the boardroom so we might as well just watch the football". Wasn't you was it Lyndhurst?

Didn't notice a thing to be honest but if there was was a reaction it was a very quiet one. Most people near me seemed fairly happy to see him back as a fellow green, especially give the amount of cash he apparently lost last time.

no it wasn't me notDistant but I suspect there were lots of similar conversations going on. I am two thirds back in block 11 btw. The Barry Roche banter started last season when there was some 'interaction' between Barry and the Devt end and similar chanting. Good to see Ellison sharing a joke with block 14/15 as well- although they were 3-0 down by then.

    ps......and lyndhurst for your view.

A cruise to 5-0 in the sunshine probably helped keep people's minds on other things. It was a pretty much a holiday atmosphere all round I think with the team overwhelming the opposition, a solid home debut from Parsons, standing ovations for the subs going off, especially Wotton, a silky run from Tyler Harvey right through the heart of the Morcombe defence which nearly gave us Goal Of the Decade, comedy goalkeeper baiting and even a wave from Sheridan when demanded from the Deveonport End.

    Yes, I enjoyed it.

I couldn't help but notice last week (at D&R) that Parsons looked the part breaking forward and looking dangerous....he hasn't got that much first team football behind him....but you wouldn't have realized.....plus Wotton looking comfortable and in control of those around him and helping others to settle down.
