Interesting and out of the blue!

Been told by a family friend who is usually a reliable source (used to work at the club) that should Cardiff be given permission to speak to Mackay (which he has now be given) then Watford would be given permission to speak to Waddock!

As mentioned the source is usually pretty reliable, which is why I have mentioned it on here. Would certainly be a major blow and terrible timing, half way through mid season.

Really??????? I work in watford with loads of watford fans and havent heard any of this. of course they are a bunch of boring old f****** so I might have switched off when they said it.

Windup for certain. Alan Shearers name was dropped for the cardiff job, so I wouldn't believe too much coming from there.

 

i dont know what contract gw has got but surely steve hayes having sanctioned the signings waddock has made wont give watford permission to speak to him

 

on the watford site a cardiff fan says bbc wales said malkie mackay turned down cardiff so thats good news.

 

I think it was good news for some of the Cardiff fans also, from what I read.

 

Gary Waddock will not be going to Watford as there is no way they could afford him and all the ex shots players he'll need to take with him

What release terms would you expect Wycombe to demand?

By the way I'm sorry for the disruption if this happens, I guess its a bit like the food chain. We rate Malky MacKay and don't like Cardiff thinking he is 2nd rate!

Back again! Please can we have Waddock before the clown that "owns Watford" picks the likes of Boothroyd, Roy Keane or Billy Davies? At least Waddock has a good looking record, having seen Wycombe last year I like the style (except Ainsworth!).

Just seen that he is 6/1 with Dave Jones at 7/2. Really hope he stay's, we need to start keeping a manger for longer than two season's. And what he has and is building it's looking good.
