http://talksport.com/football/chels...-makes-sense-would-liverpool-sell-14022781571 Rumors started already! Anyway if Chelsea does come up with a bid for him, how much would you guys accept for Sturridge? For me, as hes young, English and the best English striker and the best PL striker this season, I say around same price as Torres, £50m?
well if he went back there after he wasn't used much, or the way he was treated, i wont have much respect for him, we gave him is chance to prove himself and become the player he has. IF this happens and Chelsea make an approach and he turns them down, i hope to **** we have a song sorted for him for next season.
Stupid rumour. Sturridge will stay with us for a while Rodgers is the first manager to show faith in him so he wont want to leave regardless of any bids.
Haven't we realised yet that sport's hacks are indolent fools who just speculate on anything that is remotely plausible rather than having to undertake any serious journalism?
We would be stupid to sell him, having top players is obviously the key to our success. FSG are businessmen, they know that sustained success generates more income than a quick fix. We should only sell our best players if they don't want to be here, and only then if we can improve on them.
This, I think how they handled the Suarez Arsenal issue last season was great, many including our resident bitter ****e said Henry was painting himself into a corner by his comments last season yet he backed them up The Suarez fallout never happened after all the HIAGesque uneducated predictions were made by opposing fans, Luis stayed and is happy regardless of all the housing market interpretations were bandied about
Rodgers refused to let Suarez go to Arsenal. He would refuse to let Sturridge join a rival to. Though I doubt Sturridge would return to the team that treated him so badly.
Stamford Bridge reject becomes Anfield famous...and Chelsea would like to have him. You trust Jose Mourinho at your peril.
Not sure we'd need to add £200k onto the wage bill without really improving the squad. Plus £50m + 2 players seems way over Sturridge's value. I'd say he's worth between £30 & 40m currently, and even that is being a bit generous IMO.
