That story made me physically angry. I'm glad the attorney general is going to review the sentence, and only hope he does the right thing.

My little man is autistic and also suffers from Asperger's syndrome, so my wife and I always fear for his future in the outside world. He speaks his mind, has no concept of danger and never conforms to social etiquette, and we are constantly on the look out for those who are offended by his differences. It is a tiring task, but we wouldn't change him for all the tea in china. The fact that he is working his way through the karate grades gives us a little bit of comfort, though.

People argue against the death penalty, and I understand the issues with evidence, but some crimes are beyond doubt and must be punished accordingly.

I strongly support the return of the death penalty for vermin like Private Rigby's killers. Both murderers purport to hate the British state, although the hatred did not extend so far as refusing to claim British socila security payments, paid for by the British taxpayer.

As an antidote, I watched a programme on BBC2 the other night about a Muslim family from Birmingham working all the hours to struggle to set up a business. They are not all bad by any means. I have got no problem with people who want to come to the UK, integrate, and accept and contribute to our long established way of life. I do have a major problem with those who don't.

Another, more mundane example of this are our new friends from Poland. When was the last time you saw one spending money in one of our theatres, or cinemas, or even pubs? Go into any park in the summer though and you will see a big group of them sitting around sharing a large bottle of strong cider. They send the vast majority of their often untaxed income back home.

I can tell you now, that a full life prison sentence is more than just sitting in a cell with a PlayStation. In many way it is kinder to nuke the little so and so's and let them have their martyrdom, but not for me, I'd rather keep them in a cell for 5o years. The two that killed Rigby will be eating faecal pudding every day for the rest of their lives, every cup of tea will taste like piss because that is what it is. they will not be allowed in general population for a few years, and when they eventually do get yard time, they will be looking over their shoulders. They will learn to run at the smell of boiling sugar. In America, studies revealed it is 4 times cheaper to prison someone for life than it is to kill them given that you have six automatic appeals from a death sentence, I can just imagine what the libbers and pussy lawyers will make out of death sentences over here.

As far a one sucker punch coward is concerned. He has his coming. Another four years for a start.

    The exception <laugh>

The root of the current civil war in Ukraine is the pernicious evil that is the EU. Western Ukraine looks on with envy at Poland (basically the same country and people, just a moveable line on a map), and the so called "luxurious Western lifestyle" that the Dovers enjoy <laugh>

It seems to be lost on them that Poland's economy is not much bigger than the Isle of Wights, and any minimal expansion is completely artificially paid for by EU subsidies.

So you'll all be cheering Scotland on against Poland in the Euro qualifiers then?

Interesting question. I was talking to an English couple this week who moved to live in Fife for 12 years. They said the level of anti English racism they encountered from Scots bordered on hatred. They have now moved back. I had no reason to disbelieve them.

Seems to me the Scots have a big decision coming up. How would you vote?

Why on earth would I want independence? All my family are English, I love living in London but want a British passport, not an English one. You do get anti-English racism in parts of Scotland, and I think this is due to the way history is taught in schools. In fact I mentioned to my son's history teacher that history was taught differently in Scotland and England, and he immediately said I had a chip on my shoulder he meant it too. My parents were both English, lived in Kilmarnock for over 30 years and never had a problem in this respect. Londoners will more likely find a problem if they go to Yorkshire than Lowland Scotland.
I think independence will happen, maybe not this time, but if you look at the political map you can see the political division forming.
