So, according to a poll, most Catholics in Northern Ireland want to remain in the UK. And you thought this was a point worth pointing out?
"despite every Nationalist who is given the chance choosing to play for the Republic." Those were your words Mick. Don't be silly be trying to say those guys I listed are unionists.
Which of those Nationalists were given the choice to declare for ROI before they had already played for NI?
Try and word your comments a little better next time. Any of those players could have chose to represent the Republic.
I don't usually deal with people trying to pick any hole in the sentence to derive a counter argument from so I don't usually have to put as much effort into picking my exact words as I do now. My point was given the straight up choice you wouldn't find many Nationalists who would choose to present NI over the Republic. Your counter argument of "but look there are Nationalists who play for NI" is besides the point. They were not given a straight up choice for whatever reason, whether it be ability (it's much easier to get into the NI squad), or having played full NI internationals before any possible choice was apparent.

So the nationalists in the Northern Ireland team didn't have a choice? I think you'll find they all did.
