1. Driving through historic Warwick this morning a young lad sped past me on a bike, wearing a QPR beanie. Not too many of us round here, one lad at my son's school, who, like the black population of Dublin when Phil Lynott was making his name, is known as 'the other one'. Brought a smile to my face...... 2. Gianluca Vialli interviewed on Radio 4. Despite him playing for a series of teams not on my 'like' list, this intelligent, honest, humourous man, who's family were so rich you knew he only ever got involved in football for love, brought another smile to my face........ 3. Still 15 games and 45 points to play for.
Roof blew off my garage in the storm a couple of weeks ago; didn't know what to do about it. Another big storm a few days ago, and would you believe it, it blew the roof back on again! Perfect fit, you can't see the join.
Come on Col, doesn't have to be football related, I'm sure there are some good things going on in the bird of prey world....I always think of you when I see those (insert correct name here) hovering over the M40 as you get towards Thame. I've got another one now - as usual pouring with rain here, so just tested the big stockman coat walking the dog, and I may look a fool but I was as dry as a bone. Unfortunately, attempting to dry off the soaked pooch soon changed that.... There's always merit in waiting and pondering Grinners, some things really do get better by themselves!
1. We’re still in with a good shout for either automatic promotion, or a playoff place 2. We’re at long last getting a new larger stadium, not too far from LR 3. We’re at long last getting a brand new state of the art training facility, which will help us to attract talent and to develop our youngsters All in all, not too bad is it?
Despite another lashing of rain & high winds last night, this morning broke crystal clear, the sun bouncing off the sea.....also the hum of a lawn mower being used somewhere nearby says that spring is just around the corner.....
I too enjoyed the Vialli interview (both parts) on R4 this morning. Its not been a bad morning tbh. The forecast snow hasn't materialised, I found a box of earl grey loose leaf at the back of the kitchen cupboard in the office and I'm planning on having one of those Lebanese flatbread veggie wrap things from Fanoush for lunch. Could be worse.
My work is going well....and I am traveling in hope towards tomorrow (Much happier situation than having got there and found the place was @@@@)
My wife finished her breast cancer treatment in December an is feeling a lot better. I've got today off and the weather's not as bad as it was. My bulbs are up.
Why is Friday always a wet Friday? Cause the bar is open! .............. albeit, just having a very quite one, has been several weeks since the last coldie. Enjoy the weekend, folks.
