makes you wonder why they water most pitches very heavily before and at half time ,the wembley pitch if you remember spoilt the first few games because of the break up of the turf ,thats been rectified and the pitch has one of the best drainage systems in the world so no its no heavier than most prem pitches unlike the old pitch which had water retention problems due to poor drainage
Great team this to put out. Will give Citeh something to think about. References to the heavy pitch. I was at Wembley in 73 and it was heavy that day. The secret to me is to settle well....don't concede an early goal. Also, a huge thing going back to 73 it is a lot better mentally defending a lead...lets get ahead in the game and get stuck into them. I hope this Sunday before the game the last part of the preparation is to watch the 73 game again. It will tell them anything they need to know about this game. Come the end of the game how many 'legends' will be born......I'm sure upstairs Bob Stokoe and Ian Porterfield will be wa5tching the game together with interest
Might as well have a go as city will want to dominate play. If we can keep the ball we can frustrate city . We can't afford to sit back and let them come on to us . That's the difference in the premiership teams are having a go and the "big" teams are not having it all there own way .
as we should have at arsenal as we should in every game because when we do we look good sit back and we get beat, simples
Ive just read gardner will be playing and hes got 140 tickets for family and friends Jack Colback has 40 tickets and his family are mags
I've always liked Giaccherini and have been mystified why he hasn't been the first name on the team sheet every week. He was our best player early in the season under PDC but has rarely had a look in with Gus. Hoping he has grasped Gus's tactics now and we can see him come and star for us until the end of the season.
I agree totally but think he hasn't been getting a game.as he wasn't understanding the way Gus wanted us to play. Gus says he does now so that'll do me
Yep, me too. I remember watching him at the start of the season and thinking this lad was like Sess, but with the work rate. If he's sussed out the style of play we have a fantastic player on our hands and somebody who could genuinely be pivotal in keeping us in the Premier League.
