Without Remy, I'd probably say striker.. but based on the strongest 11 we can field right now what do you think is our biggest single ponitr of weakness?
Personally I'd say it's left back.
Haidara is still learning.... Santon is not too hot defensively... for me we need a left footed Debuchy type....
    What's your thoughts?

I think we have 2 youngsters who can do a job in Dummett and Haidara. Perhaps it is still our weak point, but then again, perhaps its whoever has the playmaking role which is now our weakness. Cabaye is gone, HBA and Marveaux are on their way, Sissoko has proven he cannot do the job and Tiote/Anita are not that kind of player. Was obvious on Sunday. Perhaps playing Remy deeper is the answer behind LDJ, but it is still very early to say for certain

I agree, we lack creativity and desperately need a playmaker.

In the summer, it might be any from:
centre back - if Colo goes
right back - if Debuchy goes
centre forward - assuming we don't sign Remy

Although as JPF says, maybe the biggest weakness is actually on the pitch.

For me it has got to be a central play maker. With Cabaye gone it's left a shortage of skill players able to spot the killer pass.. I have never bought in the the Marveaux hype from some people, far too lazy and lightweight, unlike Cabaye who had skill, vision, tenacious (reckless at times ) but who grafted and could chip in with goals.

Elliot's a bit underrated but he's no Timmy.

I quite like what I've seen of Alnwick but I haven't really seen that much of him.

Would like to see Elliot get more game time so he could push for regular ROI call-ups,maybe the new Given!

The new Given he'll never be. We'll just have to use whatever we have at our disposal.

Not really sticking to the question posed in the OP but for me it's a striker, CM and a wide player.

Striker because Remy isn't our's and the other two because a wide player means that Sissoko can cover CM meaning we then have Anita,Tiote, Sissoko and the new one and a wide player because we then have Gouffran, Sissoko, Ben Arfa & the new man to cover the wide positions.

So those three positions are of equal importance IMO. We don't have the finances to fund two players in each position which is essentially what's needed to challenge the top 6 so we therefore have to "cheat" a little by having players that can play in two positions such as Sissoko (wide & CM), Gouffran (wide & CF) etc. You only want 3/4 of those players IMO though as too many of them and the team becomes disjointed as the majority of it essentially aren't palying in their favoured position.
