With all this talk about MM leaving/resigning/talking/silenced/forced out by Baz/flying to the moon, it seems that this news article from Scotland has been swept under the carpet: http://www.thecourier.co.uk/Sport/F...undee-s-craig-forsyth-set-for-watford-fc.html Basically it's the Fife local newspaper reporting that we have beaten St Johnstone and Crystal Palace to the signing of 22 yr old midfielder Craig Forsyth for approx £100k. Seems about right in comparison to our recent signings (Cowie, McGinn etc). This of course could be complete nonsense but it would make sense as we do need a central midfielder with no McGinn for at least the next 3-6 months. Any thoughts on this or will it just be another unfounded newspaper article?
Good spot muppet - and welcome to not606 Could be just another rumour - there have been lots - but worth keeping our eye on it - who knows whether if Malky goes he might be less interested - the Scottish connexion
I'm guessing with our new head scout guy, we will still be looking at the Scottish market - especially if Cowie and McGinn stay! The hope is Malky doesn't start competing for the same signatures... or any of ours!!
Boa Morte (sounds like Death in French?), where from? It sounds like Suffolk has found religion! Err are we talking on a free from West Ham, does he want to take a 99% cut in wages? He has such a strop on him its untrue! Shall we just say NO and leave it at that?
yeah this was on vital football a few days ago, we can only hope its our new recruiter and not malky the 100k is estimated compensation, could end up as more, and will probs have add ons.
Sounds like a decent prospect, though I look at Cowie and McGinn, and think why do we need another midfielder like him? I would arrive we spend our small budget on a new a striker or a left-back or a winger, the three places that need sorting out this summer
No this is a Ross Wilson signing, but rumour has it that palace are tracking the situation. Because McGinn wont even be back in light lower body training until at least halfway through the season, and Josh Walker is unproven at Championship level (he's also on fairly big wages having come in on a free). Plus for approx 100k compensation, he could be the next Don Cowie!
Remember guys we need depth in every position as next summer we will need to sell at least a couple!!!
Do we know for sure that it stalled? I hadn't seen it anywhere. Surely Wilson would be doing the negotiations? With our set-up Malky was largely just a rubber stamp on signings so really his going is neither here no there on that front. Unless of course the guy wanted to come specifically because of Malky.
