A friend and I were having this argument, we decided that these were the best teams but we disagreed on who would win? I say the tall team, he says the small team. Here are the line ups: Small: Manager - Pep Guardiola ( Suits smaller, tiki taka teams....Barcelona, Bayern etc.. ) -----------------------Casillas------------------------ -D.Alves---------Puyol--------Mascherano-------Lahm- ----------------Iniesta----------Xavi------------------ -------Neymar----------Messi-----------Hazard-------- -----------------------Aguero-------------------------- Tall: Manager - Jose Mourinho ( Suits physical, solid defensively, tough to beat teams....Chelsea, Inter etc... ) -------------------------Cech------------------------ -Ivanovic-------Kompany------Terry----------Chiellini- ---------------Yaya Toure-----Matic----------------- --------Bale-----------Ibrahimovich------C.Ronaldo--- -------------------------Drogba--------------------- I think, given the circumstances that these are definitely the best line ups. ( Suarez doesn't really qualify for small....) Any way, 2 great line ups but who would win?
They say a good big man always beats a good small man. Might be true in Boxing, but maybe not football. Interesting idea Joey, it's 2-2 for mine, with one of Joses team red carded and a penalty for Peps boys.
**** me that`s a hard one, i would go for 2-2 draw but only because of the tall teams front four, other than that the small team would walk it.
Chiellini is solid, definitely one of the best CB's out there, definitely in the top 10, he has played left back a lot and he's left footed so he's the best choice. I considered Abidal, Agger, Vertonghen, Sakho but Chiellini is better than all of these to be honest.
Javi Martinez would be in the tall team all day ahead of Matic. Even Busquets. But... the small team would dominate the ball and probably win 6/10 times... a tall side always has the ability to counter and earn dangerous set plays... and they're hardly short of ability! Would be fairer to pick a team based on agility and skill against one based on power and strength... because the 'tall' world XI isn't just tall, it's incredibly skilful too. So automatically a little unfair.
