Because stumpt, even the best of people make mistakes, and some of us feel that the sacking of Laudrup was one of them. Just because you don't agree, doesn't mean we have too forget all our opinions and keep quiet. The oens who are answering back, are answering because peopel are always quick enough to go on about how better we are alreayd without Laudrup, so we respond. People stop that ****, we won't need to reply.
On pace for a 47 point season and well into the biggest cups up till injuries devastated us till Christmas does it for me , regardless of what peoples playing style preferences happen to be . The busniess was being done , to pretend it wasn't is like cheating at solitaire lone
Good performances will deliver far more good results over time than bad ones. Not sure why that concept needs to be explained, but there we are.
Default Can people please enlighten me as to why HJ has been labeled the bad guy and why some talk of ML as if he has golden bollox. I'm at a loss. That's an easy one Stumpy.....They cant accept i was right and they were wrong....nothing else to it
Laudrup chose to compete on four fronts with a paper thin squad. Laudrup chose to ignore a £12m striker and run Michu into the ground instead. Poor training leads to a poorly conditioned, unfit squad and therefore a spate of injuries. You point out the problems that Laudrup has apparently had to deal with and ignore one of the root causes.
I'll believe Laudrups reasons for playing players , it is his job . Who knows when Bony was ready to start playing regular , hind sighters always make a good point , after the facts .
Bony only started in every game when Michu was injured and Laudrup had no choice. Either that's a complete coincidence or Laudrup was deliberately choosing not to use him as much as he could have. I don't believe in coincidences like that.
From my understanding , it was fitness levels but who knows why . Like I say , a manager has his reasons that everyone can only guess at . How do you explain our positioning leading into Christmas lone , we were looking good in 3 competions . Opinion ?
I don't doubt our cup standings. If nothing else Laudrup has proved himself a cup specialist. Problem is that usually comes at the cost of league form everywhere he's gone. 36 points from 38 games over a calendar year is relegation form, not "looking good". For what it's worth I doubt we would have been relegated under Laudrup. There would have been three worse teams than us in any case. However, we were not paying him what we were paying him and letting him spend £20m last summer without selling anyone to just survive.
If Laudrup had played him from the start he would have finished the season with something like 60 starts...it's called managing your resources! Add in that he turned up carrying a niggle, missed pre season and in Laudrup's words; "We all know when you have a huge price tag on your shoulders there's always a lot more pressure on you, a lot more expectation," the Dane told reporters."He didn't have a proper pre-season; after we signed him he had to stay away for the work permit. He started playing, in some games he did well, especially in the European games."We want him to be at his best, we're here to help him and that's why we're doing extra things with him because we want him at his best and I think he understands that."Maybe in some games he is not there, of course everybody wants to play always, but what we're doing is trying to put him up to his best condition, so we can see the best of Wilfried."He's coming from the Dutch league to the Premier League; it's a huge step and that's why we're trying to help him."
Didn't Bony go on a personal fitness training for a few weeks as his fitness was below being good enough?
1 win in 5 12 in 48 You do the math Dai. And thats since the cap one cup final, the run you claim was relegation form. Laughable is not the word to describe your opinion.
So what part of running Michu into the ground and leaving him knackered for half the season counts as resource management?
Lone , not you too lol . 40 points in 28 games to start last season while winning the League Cup getting us a Europa spot and all you want to recognize is the last 10 games after that when no one really cared , please !
This from the guy that drove us all nuts on BBC 606 by hammering "Jinx" mercilessly and relentlessly .... precious. Finally, the batteries have run down and he can't remember.
What was leaving Leon all about ?? why did he Make vorm captain ??? Why would he not play bony against the big sides ? why did he play players out of position ?? Why was he not turning up for some training sessions,?? Why would he ignore his chairman's orders ??? Why were the players forced to complain to jinx about issues??? Why could he only muster 8 wins out of 39 games???... Do i need to carry on or is that your idea of a good manager.??
says someone living in the good usa you just don't have a clue like us proper jacks who go to matches do you......Its not your fault i know but don't talk about something you dont know about...
Do we know this? Players get injured you know. Was it a small injury which changed or revealed itself to be a more serious one? I wonder what the medical team were advising Laudrup? Until I know this I won't accept that Laudrup "ran him into the ground". What we do have a good inkling of from last summer (& Laudrup stated this in his press conference) is that Laudrup didn't get all the players he had targeted and lined up....perhaps he wanted a bigger squad? An extra striker? We were linked with enough...
