If anyone is intrested going to Crystal Palace away on the 8th feb by train South West Trains have extended the £10 offer until the 16th of march. You can travel by South West Trains to Clapham Juction for £10 Adult and £5 for children. Because the trains between Clapham Junction and Selhurst are not operated by South West trains you can not purchase a through ticket to Selhurst. The price of a day return from Clapham Junction to Selhurst is £6 Adults and £3 for children these can be purchased at the same time you buy the £10 ticket even if you buy it on the day at Southampton Central for example just say you want a winter smiles £10 ticket to Clapham Juction and a day return Clapham Junction to Selhurst. The Winter Smiles tickets should be on sale from 24th feb and on the South West Trains website from that date. You can also travel by Southern Trains via chichester but please note the £10 tickets are not valid on these services but Southern may have an offer of their own so see the Southern Trains website for details. Any questions leave here or PM me.

Thanks Marv....Do you think this will work better than a group save(4) from Central straight to Selhurst?

You can do a groupsave 4 to Selhurst for £34.80 on the Southern route via Barnham but there will be a replacement bus between East Croydon and Selhurst taking 10-15 mins. If you do this route and you plan to hang around for a while after the game be aware that Southern services finish earlier but this is the cheapest option. If you decide to do the South West Trains £10 (£40 for 4) offer to clapham Junction you could then buy a groupsave 4 to Selhurst for £12. unfortunatly there is a bus replacement between norwood Junction and Selhurst taking around four minutes. All tickets mention can be bought on the day at Central.

Thanks again for the great info Marv and the heads up on the not yet advertised extension. Have told a few friends about it who are going to head up for a day trip as it's great value.

The Rugby being on at Twickenham was the main reason for this which did not help matters. lol

As far as i'm aware you can. Prices for a group of 4 is in first post. There is a bus replacement between Norwood juction and Selhurst this takes around four minutes or so. If travelling in group of 3 it will be around the same price.

As Marv said in a previous list, if you're in a group then the cheapest method. Is the £10 return deal up to Clapham and you can Groupsave 4 at £3 each for a return from Clapham to Selhurst.
So that's £13 return plus a share of the booking fees if you do it on-line. A right bargain

Also it's worth mentioning that Selhurst station and Norwood Junction station are both about 15 minute walks from the stadium(according to multi map). So you shouldn't need to get that replacement bus service.
