Like everything in football, Sky is over-saturated and spread too thin, too many people wanting to make money and it has diluted the quality massively.

When it was a couple of games a week with Martin Tyler and Andy Gray, it was the most exciting audio I'd experienced. Now it's 27 live games a week, a sh1tload of old pro's trying to offer their "expertise" and all about whichever club happens to be the richest, I'd rather just put it on mute and turn Five Live on.

I take it Quinn did our game again yesterday? He is ****ing awful. Boring and just poor at analysing what is actually happening. Nothing to do with his unwashed link either, he's just crap. To be honest there not very many good ones about. I like Neville as a commentator but even he is a bit ****e at times. Owen is terrible. Basically there are very few gooduns about whether Sky, BBC, BT Sport! Lets face it Shearer, Hansen and co are ****e aswell.

BBC are fine. The MOTD lot have to appeal to kids, remember, detailed insight isn't top priority. In live commentary, BBC have Alan Green, Ian Dennis and Mike Ingham.

It's a personal opinion, but there's nothing worse than Talksh!te on a Saturday afternoon. I don't know how anyone enjoys hearing Stan Collymore interrupt the commentator every 5 seconds, before belting out the goalscorers name at 300 Db.

Neville is through and through Man Utd but the guy is honest and doesn't show he alliance. Quinn who I admire is totally opposite.

Quinn wasn't too bad yesterday, normally I find him repulsive. The one guy who pisses me off is Garry Birtles - you will often hear him on one of the match choices on Sky Sports on Saturday evening. He really is a loud mouthed w**ker.

Forgot the ex footballers though, the guy I truly hate and I mean truly hate is Alan Parry. I had to put up with his bull**** for years before Sky as he use to commentate in the Midlands a decade or so before. I despise him especially when he does our matches. He is also a Liverpool fan and the bastards at Sky think its fine for the piece of **** to commentate on their matches. I will take his repugnant commentary in the 2nd 4-3 to my grave with me. He was literally w**king himself off live on air.

Away from in game commentary I have enjoyed a lot of what BT Sport have done this year. It is more amateurish but I think that has made it fun to watch. Sky has all got a bit too serious.

One of the greatest moments for me is when Benfica knocked Liverpool out of the Champions League at Anfield and Parry was doing the commentary and you could hear the heartbreak in his voice. It was fantastic to hear!

I prefer a foreign feed, even if the game is on the telly, because the commentary is improved if I can't understand a single word but just listen to the enthusiasm in the rather bonkers commentator's voice.

The English speaking media here is so one sided that one has to be a plastic Manc living within a Guildford postcode to appreciate it.

Football commentators, almost without exception, have little insight beyond the obvious. Their purpose as far as informing the viewer (of more than one game of football) is redundant. Basically, their role is to help us zone out with a more hypnotic dull babbling background noise than the partner talking about her day next to us endlessly, while you're just trying to scratch your nuts and think about nothing after a hard week's work.... Andy Gray doesn't quiz me about what he just said, or threaten to not talk to me until I apologise and devote every waking second to his inane chatter... and he knows I'm scratching myself while he's talking.... Dirty minx probably enjoys it... Maybe I should go out with him....

Keyes and Gray win for me hands down, along with Tyler. Nothing finer than seeing Shearer smash one in and celebrating by spilling me pint (waste of beer I know) and hearing Tyler screaming...sheeeeeeeAAAARRRRRREEEEERRRRR !

I too hate Alan Smith, Trevor ****ing Francis and Niall (Discopants) Quinn and Michael Owen.

As a newcastle fan though there is nothing more cringeworthy, fleshcrawling and just downright ****ing annoying than having Chris Waddle commentating on our games, can someone just please take him to a field in the middle of nowhere and shoot him in the ****ing face !
