Ex Celtic big knob and Caymen island resident bent Brian Dempsey fell on hard times , poor fella . He filed for sequestration leaving £11 million of debt . But fear not because good ole Brian had the foresight to transfer shares of one of his companies to his cousin James Dempsey five months before he went to the wall . These shares were virtually worthless , or so it seemed . Lo and behold , Briano has come out the otherside of the ordeal of bankruptcy and his cus transferred the shares back to him . And shock horror those could now be worth £500 million . Thing is the company involved , Iris strategic land fund have been given the go ahead for a 500 home development at Moodiesburn by North Lanarkshire council . So why were the afore mentioned shares deemed worthless ? The land this development is to be built on is greenbelt land . Yet labour controlled North Lanarkshire council have granted major labour funding Dempsey planning permission despite the advice of their own planning officials branding it " inappropriate and unjustified" Despite the fact the same council have continually knocked back a similar development in nearby Glenboig by Banks construction on Brownbelt land . Banks feel that something fishy has been going on . I tend to agree . The application is now at Scottish government stage so hopefully it will get binned . Probably not though . Dempsey was also the chief architect of the Lennoxtown land deals I do believe . Such is life in the corrupt land we live in .
So why were the afore mentioned shares deemed worthless ? The land this development is to be built on is greenbelt land . Now you are getting it.
Well....... That all depends on what you mean by anything . If by anything you mean Celtic then Mr Dempsey has been a leading light in that clubs recent history . Who can forget his the rebels have won pish when the bunnet took charge ? He was also the main protagonist in the Lennoxtown land deals now being investigated by the European commission . If by anything you mean the corruption endemic in North Lanarkshire council when it comes to dealing with members of a particular community then I think it's pretty obvious what's going on hete . If by anything you mean Rangers then not a lot apart from what is made obvious by the thread title .
No. One minute you are arguing that greenbelt land is valuable when Celtic own it but now are arguing that it is worthless.
Eh ? **** you on about Fatbhoy ? I'm not arguing about anything , well I wasn't till you started talking ****e . Greenbelt land while not being worthless as such is worth a lot less than land that has planning permission . Planning permission is very rarely given for greenbelt land because it's ......greenbelt land . Unless you're a friend of the incumbent political leaders of course .
You think ? I was actually thinking it was a political conspiracy but you couldn't rule nuffin out when it comes to those despicable kafliks .
Exactly so why are rangers fans trying to convince the European commission that Lennoxtown is worth 30m?
Eh ? You have lost the plot dafty . What Rangers fans are you on about ? Do you have any particular in mind ? Apart from me that is ? Let me put your tiny mind at rest . I have not nor have I ever tried to convince the European comission about anything Including land deals concerning reasonably famous , manky Scottish football teams and or city councils , health boards or any other administrative bodies be it a local or national level .
