I'm not sure why we've gone back to our Aston Villa formation though when it didn't work the first time round with Gerrard & Henderson in midfield on their own.

 

Swansea counter attack and all you see is our midfielders strolling back while the Swansea attack runs by them.

 

I don't think it's just his fault. He's got 2 to 3 players in behind Coutinho and Henderson running at him and they can just pass either side of him to get a run at the defence

Yup, key is no work rate from coutinho. Be it Gérard or Lucks, our system relies on a high work rate front and back. Not happening so exposed.
