Listened to Burnsie interviewing him on RH earlier and it was interesting to hear Jela say that one of the things that made him sign - yeah we know about the wages - was the fact that SB had told him about the other playerS that were coming in to the club, so that's not just Shane Long then, well that's how I read it. Any idea who the otherS are?
I dont see anyone else coming right now. I would guess that maybe Bruce listed the players that he has signed and then talked about the type of players in the future that he wanted to sign.
I actually respected him more for saying our training ground wasn't the best, because it meant he wasn't just bending over for us saying we were amazing. Made me believe him more when he did praise us because it meant it was genuine.
I can't be arsed to find my reaction to Jelavic signing but I was over joyed. The bloke is a goal machine. Anyone who says different or calls him a donkey( yes Bob that means you) is a full on dog chewed clown shoe mong.
There were only a couple people I think who were really negative about Jelly and Long. Luckly they were wrong.

It was a gamble and first couple of games looked a bit iffy, but..... He gets into goal scoring situations He's an instinctual scorer so long as he isn't given time to cock things up He is developing an awesome partnership with the better all round player Long He puts a shift in, especially in defence You can see he wants the team to win (look at his reaction to the first goal, even though he had just missed a good chance himself)
Definitely Ernie. He looks ****ing nuts he's concentrating that hard. Desperate to do well. I'm definitely wanting to christen them smash and grab now. Longjella's abit ****.
The cynic would say it was relief that having missed the chance the team had still scored so he knew it wouldn't come back to haunt us. Even in that situation it's good though, because if we're following up when he misses and scoring anyway it'll take pressure off him, probably more than scoring all the goals himself would. Obviously he needs goals himself, but like today where he's got 2, if he was the only one scoring there'd be more pressure on him to keep scoring. This way he can be more relaxed and hopefully get more as a result.
