Today's Teams: Hull City: Allan McGregor, Liam Rosenior, Maynor Figueroa, Alex Bruce, Curtis Davies, David Meyler, Tom Huddlestone, Jake Livermore, Nikica Jelavic, Shane Long, Ahmed Elmohamady. What do we reckon 3-5-2 with rosey at LWB or 4-4-2? I'm hoping 4-4-2 with Meyler on the left of the midfield.
I'm inclined to agree, he gets sucked into the middle too easily and offers nothing out wide. seems SB is sticking to his usual containing strategy. 4 at the back screams for a Boyd or Aluko or even Sagbo out wide.
The last time Meyler started on the left wing, we won 2-0, maybe that's in Bruce's thinking? Personally, I'd have gone with Aluko.
Dunce. Certainly. If he's not up to it after Monday, then Boyd. Forget the last time Meyler started on the left wing, he's not a bloody winger in any respect, playing like this makes us completely one dimensional with Elmo as the only attacking outlet in midfield. Going to be another game of Pulisball. Meyler on the left is something Browny would do, we've 3 fit left wingers, why not play a left winger on the left wing?
Just had a look about him, it appears his contract was terminated just after the JTW closed after refusing to sign a new one with 6 months left, but Cardiff have signed him. Didn't he need to be a free agent in the JTW to be able to sign this season?
Meyler to weather the storm and double up on the winger and bring Aluko on 65 minutes. kinell Mersons tipped us for a win.
He was released in the window, it just didn't become common knowledge until Cardiff announced they were inning him on Feb 1st.
