Yes, that's exactly how I read it. Quite whether it is necessary to say it in public is another matter.
Blimey. The psychoanalysts on here are tearing this tweet to shreds. Here's my analysis (which must be right as I thought of it). It will be a big few weeks for QPR .... similarly for most of the other clubs in the league. Those hoping for promotion and those trying to avoid relegation. Time for Harry and the boys to stand up and be counted. .... With all the comings and goings, loans in and loans out, TF and the board are uncertain how many players we have so there needs to be a head count. The only thing they are sure of is that Luke Young is still there .... somewhere. (Probably hiding in a cupboard.) As owners we have done all that was asked. .... Maybe they haven't been asked for the right things. I am sure that they weren't asked if TF could fix it for them to get promotion. He would have if he had been asked. Overall my analysis is that TF is now considering what to do next. He must be considering buying another aircraft, coming out as bisexual, releasing an album of Christmas hits (covers) with Cilla Black and Slade, auditioning for Britain's Got Talent, planning Adel's surprise birthday party -which happens to be of Playoff Final day! Employing Jimmy Carr (or is it Alan?) to do match day announcements, having fish for tea because it's Friday, sacking Harry, engaging FLYER to replace Harry, selling his stake in the club, increasing his stake in the club, doing a whistlestop tour of all the local pubs to chat with supporters, breathing in and out regularly. No I can assure you that at least one of the above WILL happen.
Good points Eamon and has anyone really asked... What messages TF is getting for this response in the first place? You also have: The press who love Harold but that won't stop the knives coming out for a team that has spent a fortune ... QPR has made a rod its own back with social media and being in the headlines. Angry fans seeing our team lose a commanding position and getting caught by Derby etc. We want success and we shout about it while other clubs have built football teams and go quietly about their business. Talk the talk and now walk the walk and all that. Here is just a very little forum a place where some good people vent off. I am not worried at all and it will mean a regroup, maybe new people in high places but i am certainly that because of our lucky position in London and the project we will always be attractive. Ih Harold gets us up ... (he will) I am certain he will want to build a premiership team his way. Loads of wobbly heads at the moment and we need to take stock ... get behind the team... we have the players to do this by a country mile and remember the rest of the teams want us to fail and beat Harold's teams. Rise brothers, sisters and Flyer and eat the pressure
No, you have missed something so here's how I read it. Uncle Tony is an amateur astronomer and has spotted an asteroid heading towards earth. He want's QPR to at least get promoted before we all die! I'm always right BTW.
Please god let it be this one! The tweet does seem like a subliminal "don't blame me" but like Croydon says, did he really need to go public with this? so much for pulling together. I think most of you guys are looking at HR and some of the players as the problem anyway, not the chairman.
I read this as TF becoming impatient with Harry. He's saying that the board have backed him and he and the players need to deliver...................or else!!
I'll wager its a chippy tea Eamon. Nothing beats a nice bit of haddock chips & a gherkin with a mid range NV champers of a Friday night.
You have to say that if we lose to a team of no-hopers like Charlton we really will be into a nose-dive that will be difficult to turn round...
I heard from a Charlton supporter that they have made a few promising signings january, and are playing a bit better, but without it translating into points yet. Their pitch, and cancelled games don't help them, but not sure it will us either. Hope we go there with a real determination to win, and not a perception that we are a far better side.
Yep, have to agree with this. People go on about beating the teams around us in the table but at this stage of the season the relegation bound teams start to put in cup final type shifts and upset a few higher up the table teams. I was going to say giant killing but we are only little old QPR. Hey we killed a few giants in our first season back in the prem at home!
I do not read anything into this at all. I can't see it as an or else comment. Just rallying the troups saying it's their time now. Best excuse that will be used this week will be the pitch condition which is abysmal.
Christ, times have changed! I remember a few years back when Charlton were in the PL under Curbishley and they came to us in a pre-season friendly and Darren Bent got a hat-trick in a 3-0 win, they were light years ahead of us then...
Has anyone queried why we didnt have in Remy's clause that we could have him back as an emergency?!!! Having our best striker elsewhere can only happen to QPR
