Wonder why? Anyone see the club shop in town with all blue kit in the window?........................tasty or what .....;O)
John Are you saying that the club sold more from no more than a hut at Ninian than the shop we now have? And that club shop sales 10 years ago on average crowds of under 15k (probably less) produced more than current gates averaging 26k? I have no issues if you are correct John but give us some hard figures to back up your statement please.
Yes BFB , sales last x-mas was the worst on record for mens and large youths home tops , ask at counter and they will say . I remember having to order my blue top as they were sold out weeks before x-mas but the club shop had thousands of red home tops left in January. Big bizz now on the internet selling Cardiff blue tops as seen at home and away games , even the raffle prizes on the away coach are blue scarfs and tops FFS
fk me the raffles have gone down the pan since the last time I took an official coach.....a fking blue scarf lol>>>>>>>could I trade that in for a free trip and ticket please just for the record......im not picking sides and I love me blue but my boy wanted the long sleeved red top and that's what santa brought him>>>>>>>>>>he fking luvs it...........................anyway myself I wouldn't wear any football top or football colours at all.>>>keeping it casual I suppose.
Okay John I wouldn't argue with your comment for the particular items quoted, notwithstanding the lack of any detailed information, however the shop sells much more than red home shirts so to say "Club shop worst figure for profit for last ten yrs this x-mas ... " is a little disingenuous without the full facts to back it up. There is no doubt that blue shirts are much more prominent at both home and away games and anyone who decides that we go back to being blue home and away will have instant hero status with most fans. But until that happens then VT is the man in charge and with around £150m put into the club what he says goes whether we like it or not. Unless he decides to change back which is very unlikely then we will have to put up with red until someone buys him out. No matter what actions supporters groups take (short of organising a gang style hit on him) he is not going to walk away from that size investment and if he withdraws ongoing funding then we will be in the soft and smelly stuff very quickly. I for one do not want to go back to the lower leagues, or worse, again. The Championship might be palatable if we don't survive this season but certainly no lower which is what would happen if VT walked and there was no one of similar financial means to step into his place.
Agree BFB two sides to every coin but some on this board seem to have just crawled up Tans arse and if he said no more Clarks pies at half time its monkey brains they would say ok , its change but you have the money.........
I have bought in the past 5-6 years the following: 1. A city retro 1975 shirt 2. A city retro garden gnome 3. A blue city sweat shirt 4. A city 2008 shirt 5. A blue city t-shirt 6.
