IPSWICH TOWN v Northampton Town

First round draw has been made for the Carling Cup. At last a home draw against a localish team who we beat in last season's Carling Cup. Should be an interesting game as our new players will be getting used to playing in the team.

 

I was hoping for a London based away tie, but fingers crossed we might get that in the next round.

 

Great to have a home draw

 

Would rather we acted like a big club and used the carling cup to blood youngsters. Sure a good cup run can be good for confidence but think we should concentrate on the league this year.

 

I always like an early away game. The lower division team is really up for it and gives our younger players i think a bigger test in a harder atmosphere.
I also enjoy visiting some of the grounds around the country that we would not normally visit and get the opportunity to stand.

 

Should be a good game hopefully off the back of our opening day win away at Bristol
