Sack one manager, promote the assistant and bring in two advisors. Now bring in another manager, demote the previous one and sack the advisors. They are doomed. (ha ha)
At least it's not us being a laughing stock for a change. Has Flavio bought a share of Fulham? They must be filming the follow up to the four year plan, it's called the two years of demise!
Knowing who they have just hired, what we've seen so far is nothing compared to what is coming. Believe me! Here's some background info on Magath for those of you who are unaware of how he works. Adel and Berbatov are lucky to have left. “Players Threw A Party When He Left” By Damian BuxtonPosted on February 16, 2014 please log in to view this image Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has launched a scathing attack on the club’s former boss –and new Fulham manager- Felix Magath, telling reporters that there is “no future” for the club’s former boss in Germany due to Magath “pushing players to a ridiculous stage.” Magath became Fulham’s third manager of the season over the weekend, replacing Rene Meulensteen in the Craven Cottage hotseat. “I knew Felix would pop up again somewhere as manager. But not in Germany. Here there is no future for him. I thought his only chance would be abroad, where they don’t know him well,” said Hoeness. “He goes well beyond the limits of physical challenges with players. “He is pushing players to a ridiculous stage. Well over the edge. “For him it is natural to squeeze the body of a professional player like a lemon to the final drop. It goes well beyond the stage where it gets unhealthy for the body of a player. This can lead to a short revival but in the long term it leads to disaster. Felix Magath has proved that at every club he has been. “The way he operates and works with players has nothing to do with getting results. I would never want to treat human beings like he does. I would never want to hurt a player as much as he does. Hoeness continued by saying that the new Fulham boss’ approach to fitness alienates his players, before accusing Magath of being too controlling. “When players run so little in a match they are either absolutely exhausted from training or they are playing against their own manager. “He should ask himself why all the players at the clubs where he worked throw a massive party when he has left. Even when he was successful, they still had a blast once he was out the door.” “Felix wants total power. He is also a very suspicious guy. He sees ghosts and is convinced everyone is always talking about him.” “This is why, at every club, he wants to become manager, director, coach, and even print the match day programmes.” “Yes, Magath did win the title with Bayern but if you are still able to create a situation where 80 per cent of the players are against you in a year that you win the Championship, like he did at Bayern, then there really is something wrong. And that was not just the case at Bayern, apparently it was like this at Wolfsburg too.’’ Worryingly for Fuham, in light of Hoeness’ allegations, the Cottagers have a number of Magath’s former players at the club. Lewis Holtby played under Magath at Schalke, whilst Ashkan Dejagah and Sascha Reither played under him at Wolfsburg. http://www.squawka.com/news/2014/02/16/magath/2014021670831?
I bet the jammy bastards still get out of it,I remember they had to win their last four or five games years ago to stay up and they did it. That article has given me a bit more hope though, the physical thing would be even worse without fixtures.
That's interesting but why is there a picture of Woody Allen on this story. There's no mention about what roll Woody's going to play at Fulham.
Mate, that made me laugh, nearly spat my tea out onto the laptop! Good stuff, I was just looking at the pic again and it looks very unflattering, it has that steer clear of this guy look about it. BTW Slade, great band in my opinion.
The whole scenorio is typical of a new owner, who is completely oblivious to the running of a football club, to make knee jerk decisions, time and time again. See, Tan .................. and others over the years. History has a way of repeating itself. I don't think so, mate. TF has done his initiation with the club and is now wiser for it. We still may have some hurdles to jump but nothing like what Fulham and alike.
Last thing they will need at this stage of the season, a fitness fanatic. I hope as an example to other owners, Foolham go down.
