Bet with SkyBet Click here for football betting QPR boss Neil Warnock wants his side to launch their first season back in the top flight for 15 years with an opening-day game at Loftus Road. The fixtures for the 2011/12 Premier League season are released on Friday morning and while Warnock is excited by the prospect of trips to face the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal, he would prefer to kick off at home. Warnock told the club's official website: "I'd probably quite like a home fixture but wherever we are and whoever we play, it's sure to be an exciting prospect. "I'm really looking forward to Friday to learn who we'll come up against on the opening day and when we'll be visiting the likes of Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge, The Emirates and all the other great stadiums."
Here's hoping that Warnock is still around for the first game of the season. Stranger things have happened.
Fulham at home would be a good way to open for me, good Derby atmosphere and a game we could potentially get something from with Fulham's away record
I hope for an 'easier' first 6 games, only because knowing how unrealistic Flavio & Co are, they would probably want Warnock out if we're not in the top 6 by the end of September.
I don't care where we start - as long as we've got some sort of half competitive team and a score draw to say anything's possible... Bit too much to ask maybe.
