That's very harsh on the Irish League. It's a semi-pro league like the Football Conference but with a lot of different challenges. The clubs are improving (increasingly off the pitch and especially at youth development level)! McDaid has as much a chance as anyone, I'm not a Glenavon fan so haven't seen much of him, he's really only been eased into the first team this last year as he's very young still. From the highlights I've seen he certainly has the positional sense, touch and composure. I'm still just gutted we didn't sign Stuart Dallas or Rory Donnelly, they're not the finished article yet (and Donnelly needs to get his attitude right) but they could be great players before long.
