"Heinous" is too subjective a word which differs from one persons judgement to the next. Rash, emotional judgements do not mix well with subjectivity
ya think? Newcastle 0 Sunderland 3 do you think that justifies neg rep? I suggest you try and get your own ship in order before adding yourself to an adult thread on the sunderland board
Agree with this. Too much corruption and too many human errors still occur to make the death penalty a viable option.
what relevance does this have to the debate. Go and calm yourself down before you look more of an emotional Daily Mail obsessed idiot
what relevance does this have on anything you have said to the debate? a mans head was cut off after being deliberately ran over in front of innocent bystanders in public whilst being filmed and gloating into the camera are you ****ing insane? coz this is a mysterious murder case?
The death penalty is not an option for the judge because it was removed from the statute book. Calling for the death penalty, however much we may want it to be an option, is futile and smacks of a society built on the need for revenge not justice.
Where did I state otherwise? You simply seem to have little understanding of how reactive judgments, in criminal justice policy, now will inadvertently affect others down the line. You may only be advocating for a few amendments to allow for capital punishment in this case as a one off, however it will create a precedent in itself and a new statutory option to use it in future. Precedents are a slippery slope. Whats to stop emotions creating another "one off" down the line, then another, another etc..... i hope you're getting the point here
I should have said effectively removed from the statute book, you can still be hanged for sabotage in her majesty's shipyard and stealing a bottle of milk from a doorstep, but I bet you a pound to a pinch of ****e you nor I will ever see it happen.
Sadly, due to human rights people, jail time is no longer suffering. Nobody cares about the rights of the murdered. Just the rights of the murderers!
This... There will always be mistakes made in cases of law, and once capital punishment has been administered then the mistake cannot be undone..Even the chance of one error means that we should never again go down that road...
Agree with this aswell. When prisoners receive better care and amenities than some of our most vulnerable countrymen it's a ****ed up society. There was a picture in the paper the other day taken inside a drug dealers cell and in the background he had a shelf full of dvds and posters all over the wall!
Oh, but of course! We should really test the water by having these two "suspects" locked in a room together, both armed with machetes, then have your good self locked in the room with them for half an hour whilst wearing a squaddie uniform. Just to see how it pans out, I'm sure you'll walk out safe & sound after a nice light hearted debate.
Throw them into the streets outside Woolwich Barracks. That's where the little ****ers wanted to fight, let them try fight a full army barracks and public baying for blood. Scummy ****ers deserve the very worst death.
Apologies. I am, myself, a somewhat simple creature than can at times harbour the process you refer to as emotion. Instances like a man being decapitated in a street full of people can trigger this primitive reaction from unintellectual creatures such as myself & some others on here. Perhaps, rather than look to punish the offenders of this crime in a manner such as death, we could create a mathematical calculation of justice as a way of judgement. However, a brain made up of primordial sludge like mine than can act upon such things as emotion, which in turn would pretty much come up with the verdict of "execute the ****s" wouldn't be worthy to participate. You could, if I could be so bold as to ask, plug your head into a USB port & upload a program into the CPU in your head to better understand why some of us might be a bit pissed off with events like what happened to Lee Rigby.
