May I be the first to congratulate Rocket on his upcoming wedding All the best for the big day pal, hope it works out as magical as planned http://videocelts.com/2014/02/blogs/fans/couple-to-get-married-in-celtic-kit-on-st-patricks-day Celtic mad Jacqueline Greig and Stevie Petrie are to get married on March 17 wearing Celticâs home and away colours! The couple from Dundee will tie the knot at their local Registry Office with the guests adding to the occasion by turning the place green before heading back to have their pictures taken by Rockets Feature Wall. Petrie, who has a son called Larsson, told the Dundee Telegraph: âIâm a big Celtic fan, we both are, and regularly go to games. âBecause itâs St Patrickâs Day we thought it would be a fitting tribute. Iâve never heard of anyone getting married in football strips so we thought, why not? âMy brother is the best man â heâll be in a Celtic strip too, and so will Larsson.â The couple have known each other for more than 25 years but got back together in 2011 with talks quickly turning to getting married. The wedding reception will of course be Celtic themed with the couple hoping that hoops boss Neil Lennon can make an appearance on their big day. Rocket confessed "I love Neil, I'm a little nervous as if he were to attend in his club tracksuit I may accidently stain my shorts" Bride to be Jacqui added: âOur friends thought we were joking when they first heard. Weâre trying to let the club know that weâre going to do it.â Stevie will wear the hoops while Jaquie will put on Celticâs away kit of a gold top and green shorts. Celtic birthday parties are commonplace but itâs believed that this will be the first ever wedding wearing the full Celtic kit. For over twenty years supporters have been wearing Celtic kilts to weddings with the club also hosting a number of wedding receptions at Celtic Park.
Bride to be Jacqui added: “Our friends thought we were joking when they first heard. We’re trying to let the club know that we’re going to do it.” Good luck with that - they'll open the invitation and burn it I should think.

Nothing says class like a grown man in a football strip. Celtic should cash in and do a range of strips for formal occasions like one with a fake black tie down the front to enable the wearer to be respectful at funerals while still telling the world that they are a terminally oppressed oirish minority.
