got out of jail, still in it though

    1. Elmo
    2. Sagbo: also hit cross bar + goal
3 Aluko: came to life later on, Bruce gave him extra time to get into it and it paid off, he's most dangerous against defences which sit back and let him come and that's what they did. I think that full match from him could prove he's Ok now.

Boyd was operating down the left second half but he isn't a crosser, always looks to cut in

We seem to have played in North Sea divers boots.

    1 >>>>> Davies
    2>>>>>>>>>> Aluko (tried hard!)
3>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Quinn (not sure why he got tugged, but hell what do I know)

Aluko seemed to drop deep into Huddlestone's position at the end, and he seemed more effective there than in behind the striker. Still, I'm sure that will do his sharpness good and he'll be back to his best soon.

    Anyway, I'd go 1) Elmo 2) Sagbo 3) Davies

Figueroa went quiet when they brought on the 19year old.

No, me too but only because Bruce was patient with him and they sat off him, that's when he'll hurt you. He looked a bit off first half but with a player of his ability you only need one move and he found Sagbo so it worked out.

You must see a different player in elmo to me puts one cross in beckham would be proud of then half dozen that would still look poor on a Sunday league pitch

    Davies
    Elmo
    Sagbo

As for Aluko - I'm a big, big fan of his, but that first half tonight was the mother of all shockers for him, constantly giving the ball away in positions on the pitch that dropped City right in it. He improved a little in the second, but still I'm amazed anyone could put him in their top three tonight.

And that's coming from someone who usually eulogises about him.

rather than outstanding next to elmo it would be more accurate if you put pick of a bad bunch

The TV commentators on the game over here would completely disagree with you. They singled out Elmo's crosses as the one outstanding feature of our attack. Watch the replay.

It's our only way of attack at the minute that's the worrying thing we rely to much on elmo on the right seemingly have nobody for the left at the minute and I'm sorry but for me Elmo's crossing a lot of the time is poor

We seemed to have been wading through treacle tonight...Was the pitch heavy?
Aluko wasn't great, but when compared against the others, he was the best of a bad bunch...How did Koren stay on ?

    Not easy.

    Davies
    Elmo
    Sagbo

Aluko was absolutely terrible first half, but he was better second half and got the assist for the goal.

Davies - was a one man defence at times
    Sagbo - good finish
Elmo - not his best game but too many were poor tonight.
