That makes Saturday even more interesting. I bet he turns down a stonewall penalty for a foul on Lallana.
Read an Echo article earlier (yes I know) which seems to imply that we will be blooding more youngsters in the last 12games. I am guessing we could be seeing a lot more of Gallagher/McQueen/Isgrove + possibly Targett in the next few weeks.
More likely to give Adam the benefit of the doubt as his flying kick puts the ball and the keeper's head in the net.
Gallagher is the obvious one. Isgrove has been more involved recently, and obviously Targett is training with the first team, but appears to be nowhere near a matchday-squad right now.
I can understand this but quite a few of our first team players will want to be playing as much as possible to make sure they are in contention for the world cup squad.
Hammers Fan in Peace Clattenburg will mess it up completely ..... he always does ! Hammers fans hate him with a passion ! The game will be tight, we are not conceding many at all since we got our defenders fit, admittedly we have ridden our luck and relied on an excellent keeper at times but we have started to find the net again after a dreadful Christmas period, Good away wins at Cardiff and villa an excellent draw at Chavski and 2 home wins v Swansea and Norwich have seen us climb away from the bottom in the last month, so I see very few goals in this game and I fancy us to nick it 1-0 at most. Anyone traveling to the game have a safe trip and allow a bit of extra travel time due to road works in London
Agree it'll be 1-0...just not sure who to! I think a lot depends on which Southampton turns up (no disrespect to you) because I do expect us to look to control the game and dominate through our usual means
Downing has been superb for us lately, Jarvis not so but he does have his moments, I think your left and right backs could have a challenging afternoon if they see enough ball, that will depend on our midfield, Noble has been superb for us lately as has Matt Taylor, Nolan seems to have found his fire and form too so it could get very tight in that area and guaranteed a few challenges flying in
We will undoubtedly win if the fans can pick the team, because I am led to believe they are much better at it than our manager
Tom, we know you don't like Guly, OK? Unfortunately for you, MP rates him enough to feature him on the bench pretty much whenever he's available - he had a while off with his knee op but he's on there surprisingly often for someone who is a terrible footballer. Nigel seemd to rate him as well. Vin
To be fair Guly was noticably awful against Sunderland which is saying something when you consider the shocking performance of the rest of the team
For what it's worth, Dejan has again posted on Facebook that he returns to the pitch this weekend against West Ham.
