Certainly not giving up on an automatic spot yet but the play offs look more likely at the moment. Given how appallingly bad we have been against the top six teams wouldn't it be very Rangers to go and start beating them when it's all or nothing stakes. The hard way is the QPR way after all. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DHHv5OuEzY
Its probably the best time to have a lul in form if you finish in the playoffs, as theres still time between now and the end of the season to get a good run going into it. You've played 2 of the top teams recently, so surely you have a few easier games coming up, like frome says, your not out of the automatic picture yet
I'm looking forward to the play offs. Winning at Wembley has got to be far better than finishing second. Ninesy, Stan and I discussed this down the Crown before some match or other, needless to say I was in the minority!
My lad keeps giving me the recurring scenario of us losing to Reading in the play off final. It really could happen too!
We don't do play offs mate. The only way we can get promoted is by going up outright, and that ain't going to happen this season. The best team you could face in the play off final would be us, because we always bottle it.
I see what you mean, but I just can't see us winning the playoffs at all. We have only 1 win v the top 6 teams and that was Derby in the early days under McClaren. But if we were given the choice of going up 2nd or guaranteed playoff win I would go for playoffs
On current form we will drop out of the Play Offs One question we were debating today - Would Remy be available for if we get in them??
I guess out current form depends on how many games you take into consideration. If it is 6, we've won 3, drawn 1 and lost 2. That should see us into the playoffs as we are currently 10 points clear of 7th place. No idea on the Remy front, but I'd guess not.
Pity about Remy if he is not available but Premier Season over by then? I don't think we have played well all season and our luck has run out particularly with the key injuries
I think there are a lot more twists and turns to come ... I'm certainly not counting any chickens yet about automatic promotion ... but I'd much rather be where we are rather than having to chase us down ...
Ninesy didn't want playoffs to ruin his holiday plans and I couldn't face the (potential) heartbreak of losing. I think I changed my mind after, but can't remember why. I've finished that bottle of Chateauneuf du Pape now, perhaps my memory will improve.....
Play offs at best. We aint good enough for the automatic places. Quite frankly our season has been made of straw. We've never looked good enough to get promoted imo.
If Remy is on a season-long loan, he will contracted at Newcastle until June. Meaning he would miss the play offs.
We are still 10 pts + GD ahead of 7th place Brighton, so unless the wheels totally fall off our bus, we should still be a shoe-in for at least a playoff berth, and if we get our act together we might still be able to challenge Burnley for 2nd spot.
Loads of time for the foxes to join the play offs too you have some tough games coming up against a lot of better teams You have the points in the bag respect for that but there are a few better teams below you No one gets promoted in Feb mate and I fully expect us to catch you
