Since every man and his dog on here want Redknapp gone I want so see some constructive obtainable options. Anyone but Redknapp is not a good enough answer. I want to hear why and how that particular manager can take our club forward. I'll kick it off with an alternative. If Tim Sherwood doesn't get the Spurs job on a permanent basis after this season I'd like us to go after him with him bringing Sir Les with him as part of his backroom staff. That way we get a young hungry manager with natural leadership and some Rangers knowhow in Sir Les. I believe Tim Sherwood is a great manager in the making.
Tim Sherwood, Sir Les and Chris Ramsey attended virtually every game while Redknapp was manager, Redknapp is who Sherwood bases his management style on and we call him "Arry MK II " but while Sherwood is impressing, hes learning on the job so if your fans don't have the patience for an experienced manager who has you a couple of points off the top two, then what hope for Sherwood, unless you would be happy to spend more time outside the championship until he gets it right?
I don't want Redknapp gone, what would that achieve at this stage of the season? A new manager wouldn't be able to bring in any players so I think we should stick with Harold.
Not sure this thread is what we need now*. More than ever we need to be united, if this board is a microcosm of our crowd and the negativity displayed here is voiced by hundreds or thousands in the stands then we are doomed. The team are lacking a bit of confidence and the last thing they need is the fans turning against them and the manager. We are supporters after all, we could offer a bit of support. *Not a dig at you Norway, can just see the haters coming out on this one.
THIS IS NOT A REDKNAPP OUT THREAD FFS! I'm sick and tired of reading thread after thread with someone wanting Redknapp out without offering any reasonable option to back up that statement. Read my fekkin signature and OP again. Where have I said change the manager now?! Please enlighten me. Either back up your Redknapp out arguament or shut up (you know who you are). That is the only point with this thread.
Someone like but not Eddie howe. His side with poor players play good football and play above themselves. I'd go foreign, look at what saints did, went for someone no one had ever heard of and are now in the top half. Also remember how good the football was under LDC. Just not fat Sam!
I would rather we stick with HR even if we don't go up. My reasoning is that managers deserve time to build a team, we had hughes in who basically brought in some players on high wages that would struggle to get in a pub team. Whilst HR did spend heavily on Samba and Remy, we got money back on one and have the other on loan so haven't really lost financially (although potentially we could do). Flyer mentions Eddie Howe, and although he doesn't fancy him as a potentially QPR manager in the future I would take a chance with him. He has done wonders at Bournemouth first stopping them from slipping out of the league and then taking them up to championship after a poor start. However, he is a Dorset boy so not sure he wouold ever leave plus they now have a wealthy backer. Anyone that has ever followed QPR, know we always have a bad spell at some point in a season. Whilst I would rather not have one, if we have it now we can onoly hope others have theirs towards the end of the season.
Redknapp gets 50 times the wages of hart but offers the exact same type of entertainment. This will be fernandes biggest decision, the fans will turn if he appoints another no hoper.
Malky Makay, no matter which division your in Hes experienced at this level, and was performing well in the premiership.
I hope that the board are already considering who will be our next manager. Redknapp said that he would quit if he failed to get us promoted, we should hold him to that. We must be in a position to move quickly as we will need as much time as possible to replace all the players whose contracts will be expiring.
I think he's still sorting out legal issues so can't take a job until thats sorted. A huge improvement over redknapp but not very exciting.
We could be a poison chalice, any manager with ambition wont touch us with a barge pole,we may end up as being every losers pention fund
I think hoddle could be a masterstroke. Also keep an eye on the Pardew situation as he probably won't have long left there, and to be fair he's done a very good job on a limited budget.
