One possible reason is that he stands out in comparison to other players. You look at the team and can instantly tell which is Wanyama, the same applies with Guly. This means that when they do something wrong, it's clearly them that has done so. For other players though, it is harder to distinguish between them when they make mistakes. I'm not the one who said about culture, and don't think fans are racist, just that certain players are clearly distinguishable. It is the same with blonde players apparently, with scouts generally recommending blonde players over other hair colours because they are more recognisable than others on the field.
