Good news...would still love to see him back at QPR next year, but perhaps we just got a little ahead of ourselves with him...maybe the type of player we could keep in a few years, but need to build towards that.
I think the case has actually kept him as our player...we were lucky...we will probably get more for him this summer than we would have last summer
great news, this has helped us out as the clause has expired, it made us an extra £5m if we sell him. I wonder if the bird is an R?
£10M is apparently the clause. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/newcastle-united-transfer-news-loic-2644862 I only bring it up because I don't even understand how that story would work. How can you just turn round and increase the release clause? Surely he'd need to sign a new contract, and why would he want to do that in the position he's in?
I think I saw something about them paying us £2mill to loan him for the season, add that to the £8mill release clause and you've got the £10mill. It hasn't been made clear how the release clause works if no one bought him in these transfer windows and if we go back up. Hopefully the clause will have ended now and we can get what we want if we sell him!
The clause was for him to be able to leave for 8 million last summer, when no one came in for him after these charges were brought, the clause became null and void. This is why Remy himself stated that QPR might want him back next season. One things for sure, he doesn't want to stay up at Newcastle.
I'm pretty sure the clause has passed and he can't leave unless we want him to go. Its a best case scenario, either we keep him or his value is doubled. He could have been banged up or we could have lost him for well under his value.
This is good news - hopefully we can keep hold of him and he can help us if we get promoted. If we fail in our promotion bid, then he will bring in a good wad of cash for Harry (or whoever is in charge) to spend on the right quality of player we need for a successful promotion push next season.
Best news alll day..we have an bonafide world class top striker on our books...... If we go up then he comes home If not we make a killing Win Win for us....Very happy chappy now anyone got arsne's number?.. Just a thought..could we bring him back for the rest of the season?..we would murder ALL the other teams if so... May cost TF a few mill bt would almost gaurantee promotion Leicester boys would also be in trouble if he came back...One of the most lethal strikers I've ever seen wear hoops..
I think Arsene got confused. The board told him that he could only sign someone if the sex charges were dropped ..... .... so he's just signed Jim Davidson.
As Prem would have finished....would he be available for play offs....(worse scenario...don't want that route of course). Would be a good showcase??
