Respect to the man for taking the time and for having the understanding, empathy and respect to fulfil this family's request. I'll be singing his name loud on Sunday. One Joey Barton. He tweets what he likes. Player of the Year 2013/14
Great stuff from our club to make a terminal cancer surfferer fan's day. Well done Joey, Tony and QPR. Let's hope that they can win for him on which will probably be Tony Mill's last visit to QPR. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
What a wonderfull thing to do, cudos to everyone who made it happen. This brought a tear to eye, moving stuff. And I love Joey! There, I said it and I will stand by it. (sorry Roller, please don't hate me).
No doubt you'll have the usual mob shouting out that Barton is still a c*** but surely even his most most vociferous hater must show him a bit of respect for this. And as for 'Dumb' (or is it 'Dumber' ?)....I'll take him as our chairman any day of the week over the w****** we had before. Proud to be a Ranger
A very nice touch, well done Joey and QPR, we may not be the best or most popular but we still have our soul!!! Urrrrrrrrs!
His history is well documented, so no point in reminding anybody about that but only this Monday he was a liability for rangers, giving the ball away too often, looking like he was trying to get sent off, looking for afters with derby players and generally thinking only of himself and being the usual tosser we all know he is, player of the year, no. It'll take more of a pr stunt to change my mind, professional players should be doing this sort of thing all the time IMO. Btw all the best to tony and family, hope they have a great day.
hes done ok but still underperformed considering hes the best paid midfielder in the division. Hes also not player of the year, Austin is. Saying that, fair play to him and everyone doing this.
Yes, I think it is fair to say this is one subject we can all agree on. I hope Tony has a wonderful day
At times on Monday night he looked like he was the only one who gave a **** - I would never condone his previous antics but compared to the rest of the footballing fraternity he makes an effort even if it is for his own means. BTW he is a QPR player so we get the good publicity as well and the bad.
I doubt that anyone on here has stronger feelings regarding Mr Barton than I, but let's keep this about Tony Mills' day and not turn another "good news" thread into a battleground.
Roller, I along with you am totally and fully "Anti- Joey"...Im a fully paid up hater.. BUT hen i watched that vid, i dont mind admitting I was in tears...W.... Now, whether its a PR stunt or genuine, i dont care...Im sure Tony doesnt either.... Still not a Joey fan, but I have been reminded why i love and support QPR.... Not sure of the reasons behind it...but seeing that makes me even prouder to be a QPR supporter.. How many other clubs would ever do that? PS..If joey ever turned up at my front door I'd probably nut him...
