the trust were right to step in when they did but sadly they are not a long term solution and we need some money in. hopefully this consortium have the best interests of the club in mind, and are known to the club for the right reasons

Sounds promising in the Trust we trust it beats waiting for one of us to win the euro millions

Sounds good news to me if they can get us on a sound financial footing. Plus new owners should mean a new manager as with more money we could attract someone decent.

I don't think the trust ever intended to be the long term solution, they just wanted to steady the ship financially, which they have achieved. The club lost its overdraft facility the day they took over and have managed to keep the club afloat without it. I think they are out of their depth when it comes to running the football side of things, as they are fans like you and I but do feel how they have managed to avoid administration and kerb the losses is commendable.

What we need is some investment in the playing side and long term reintroducing a youth setup. If the playing side is improved, crowds naturally improve and bring with it more money for the club.

I can't see an obvious reason for trust members to vote against this as the ground and memorabilia are protected in the Franks Adams Legacy company so hopefully unless there is something fundamentally wrong with these investors it will go through.

I was wondering if people on here think this deal will go through or not with 75% of trust members need to agree the sale,if this doesn't happen i fear for the football club and i don't just mean relegation into the conference.

was anyone at the meeting? I think it will happen if the investors come forward and show themselves to be genuine, at the moment I think there is far too much being covered up for enough of the fans to vote in favour of this. if we are owned by the fans then the whole trust that are voting should be told who these people are

I thought for the deal to go ahead the trust could not release the detail of who the buyers are until next tuesday, all i've heard is that it's a well known British company.Let's just hope it's not a company we'll be ashamed of selling undesireable goods! <whistle>
