I doubt Aidy would come back after all that happened. I doubt the club would have him back, but if he did come back, i wouldn't be gutted. Better the devil you know, and who knows, maybe he's learned a few things while he's been away. Meanwhile, what's all this talk of Ardley?
I'd like to see Di Matteo as manager but I can't see him wanting to come to us! Tisdale is a good shout.
Tell you what, that would be a good shout. He has never been at a club that has had money, as a player or a coach. He knows the club (although admittedly he wasn't here during the best of times), and he has a background in youth coaching. According to his article on legends, him and Dychey are still pretty good mates, and he has described being an academy manager as an "apprenticeship". I take that as a pretty clear sign that he'd like to manage one day.
I was just going to say the same!! That said, relatively high-profile out-of-work managers such as Di Matteo, Zola or Hughton could see us as the best route back into football - if theyre up for a challenge and arent too bothered about money, then its a possibility. The club would definitely save money this way, as hiring someone whos out of work = no compensation.
I would be extremely wary of the likes of Zola or Di Matteo given the Vialli saga which nearly ruined the club. I seems that there is a fine line with players who have played at the top level of the game for the majority of their career whereby they may not quite undxerstand the financial limitations of lower league clubs. Don't get me wrong there are exceptions but proceed with caution. Hughton may not be a bad route to go down but I don't think that would happen
