really really annoyed!!! A game we should have scored in and won. Since taking Hooper off for Elmander West Ham have threatened more. Then taking off Tettey and Redmond 2 of our best players tonight LUDICROUS!!! Words can't describe!!!!! <grr>

Why was Redmond taken off? He was getting into good areas and going past people pretty well. But the bottom line is....again....we're not taking our chances - death in the EPL.

That is 63 substitutions Hughton has made so far this season, not one of them has scored a goal or made a goal assist. <ok>

No amount of poetry or positive thinking can take the sting off that shambles, we look like a side that will never score and we keep making stupid mistakes every week, Hooper and Redmond were our attacking threat so he takes them off .
Chris Hughton has not had a substitute make an assist or score all season so he brings on Elmander again.
    Ridiculous .

That's the question is like to see them actually ask but the won't. We'll hear the same bullshit about playing well and being unlucky.

This is dreadful - something must change we must stop limping from disaster to disaster and the occasional good performance that keeps the manager his job (why?) some fans say they would watch their team through thick and thin - why do I have to watch mine wearing a bloody blindfold!!!!!

As far as I am concerned we just lost 2-0 to man city - a good result after a solid 0-0 draw at west ham! :emoticon-0138-think

We can't score in a brothel, on that form we will go down, 0-0s at home are no good

I wouldn't say the subs cost us the game, Ruddy makking a mistake after an impressive display cost us the game. However, the subs do show that Snodgrass must have some sort of mystic power over Hughton because there is no way in a million years that he should have stayed on over Redmond! It couldn't be more clear that Redmond was our best attacking threat and that Snodgrass was having another of his off days.

I can see why Elmander came on but it didn't work as he just simply doesn't seem to do enough.

That's 2 man of the match goal keeping performances in a row away from home against us now. What have we done to upset the gods of fate, because that's all I can think to blame our lack of goals on. I know it's life but quite frankly the amount of "bad luck" we are having lately is unfair!

If someone can put forward one good case for Hughton keeping his job I'd like to hear it.

    19 goals in 26 games.
4 in our last 10 (apparently though I haven't verified this).
Two massive six pointers thrown away in little over a week.
63 substitutions this season without a goal or assist between them...
One win in 13 games, against hapless (away from home) Hull.

We can't score and we can't defend. Hughton's substitutions lost it for us today.

    I feel sick.

It's a combination of three or more factors.

Too many unforced errors, where we concede goals
Firing blanks, most of the time
Getting no luck whatsoever, in front of goal.

We've scored 1goal in our last four games
We've missed FIVE guilt edged chances tonight alone
In bringing on Elmander for Hooper at 0-0 was a master stroke in attacking thinking
2 points out of the last 12
    Your sarcasm is most appreciated
    Shall I go on ?

You create your own luck. If we shot more or got more players forward, we'd have scored more goals.

We looked like winning that game until CH made his insane substitutions, yet another match where his subs have you scratching your head,oh yeh lets take the best chances of us scoring off the pitch. I don't want to sound like a doom-monger but we're gonna need a lot of luck to stay up now. Can't score so where are the points going to come from?, can't rely on 0-0 results either.

I think anyone that defends CH decision making tonight is mad.
