You can win this one! The Spuds really are flat track bullies and as somebody above said they lack cohesion. If you play as you usually do at home - wide and with pace you'll scare them to death. I doubt that they have any more real confidence thn your lads at the present.

So do us a favour and stuff 'em!

Toon v Spurs. Sooooo, could be anything from a 5-1 win to a 1-5 defeat.

    I'll go for a 1-1 draw.

I can only see a convincing Spurs win in this one.

We're missing too many first team regulars, Remy, Colo, Tiote, Gouffran, Debuchy. We can't cope with having 5 first team starters out (6 if you include Cabaye).

    This I'm afraid.

By Saturday we may be able to line up with Remy Gouffran and Colo. If we had them available against Spurs we might be in with a shout. Without them I see a re-run of the Chelsea match

I think we might get the tactics right on this one but still come out with a loss. my bet is a de jong goal in the first half gears us up for a 2nd half capitulation. 2-1 spurs

I might be satisfied with a draw. Hard to call...

Everything points to a Tottenham win but for some reason I got this feeling we might fluke a draw to go with our flukey win at WHL.

I think we'll win this one. As long as we up the game back to the levels it was at, we should be fine - Spurs "don't like it up 'em". Ben Arfa's due a match-winning performance as well, I think he's had 4 or 5 stinkers back to back?

Got to play Sissoko and Ameobi down the wings. Would've been great to see Gouffran back in, as that pace would have been very useful. Get Ben Arfa back inside, I think. Why not? We've got 14 games left, can't be relegated and have to see if Ben Arfa's ever going to work in a Toon shirt. Even if he doesn't work out, in 14 games we should see enough flashes of brilliance to still get in excess of £10m in the Summer, right?

I'm not entirely certain 2013/14 season has many fairytales in it for us....

Why did the chicken cross the road?

Because going back and forth all day across roads is genuinely less a waste of his life than watching Newcastle United play football after that transfer window... What's the point? They aren't playing well, nor do they have capacity to play well, and we cannot achieve anything. Watch the game? We might as well watch the clock like the optimists, counting down another 90 minutes til that shedload of signings in summer that won't happen.

Maybe when we stop going across the road to renew our ST's they'll get the message.

I'm hoping De Jong can get off the mark as he looked really good in holland but poorer league, The goals he did score were some peaches though.

If he doesn't score or scores 1 or 2 do we buy him in the summer? I say no.
