Has always been my favorite scoreline (honest). A clean sheet, no doubt about the result. Any higher score smacks of a freak result or of understrength or poor opposition. 3-0 has a ring of authority about it. My memory's not what it was. Have we had one recently?
1 is definitely not enough (as Fulham can testify) , 2 still within touching distance , 3 with 10 minutes to go, dangerous time as players switch off , 4 then I'd be comfortable with that
The more the merry`er to add to our GD but never feel safe unless we have 3 clear goal minimum in any games. Hope we get a few more big scores and beat a top team or 2 before seasons end but as a wise man once said "the players need to train like animals every day of thier lives "
Mind you, I remember in Rodgers last season with us towards the end of the season we were playing Wolves. I think we were 4-0 up at half time and ended up drawing 4-4. I don't think we're ever safe till the final whistle has blown!
4-2 at HT but we were 3-0 up after 15. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17796330 The away game at Wolves wasn't BR's finest moment he took off Leon for Orlandi with 20 minutes to go and they came back from 2-0 to draw, he didn't do that again though.
We did go through a spell of winning 3-1 and that was my usual bet until we could not buy a win and i stopped putting any money on us...I think i might risk a few bob on 3-1 for the rest of the season now monk is the manager...
Yeah, that's right Jack. I have tried to blank it from my mind . I think I had my mouth hanging open for the majority of that game!
