Absolutely agree. And I consider ourselves a threat to dropping points midweek. Still... even if we drop points it will be a consolation that either Arse or Untied (or both) will be dropping points.

that was my main thought. I don't see having to qualify for CL as 4th place as a big deal, because we should really beat whoever we play. But still, it's odd that i can't decide what result i want!

Im personally hoping for Arsenal to drop points until United is out of the CL. That way we can possibly get 3rd and avoid the CL conundrum. If United get knocked out then 3rd or 4th doesn't matter.

If you still see Utd as a rival makes sense. If you see them as out of the running you want arse to drop points. Consider this scenario: Fulham beat us and Untied beat Arse. We still have 6 point gap... OK but what if Utd beat us at the toilet... home advantage... We still have 3 point lead... and unless something significant happens a much better GD so they would still need to win 2 more games than us in the other remaining fixtures (and I think... but need to double check to be sure... utd have a more difficult season end). Man Utd could still be a rival... but it would take a number of unlikely results.
i've more chace of bumming jennifer lopez than utd do of winning the cl. i think arsenal have to be favorites at home. pressure is on both sides too. astro is right if arsenal lose they are bottling it
you're not out of the running until its mathematically the case and you still have your game against us. It's unlikely you will overtake us but it's still not impossible. But then again if you beat Arsenal perhaps they will disintegrate and fall out of the top 4 altogether so we can gun for 3rd
Now then Dave. Let me tell you a story. There was once a team whose supporters enjoyed a very long run of success and they took great delight in taunting another set of supporters whos team had previously enjoyed and even longer run of success. Then one day the success came to an end just when prospects for the other team improved. The reaction is therefore fairly obvious! Capiche? Anyway if you do win we lose nothing to you and still win. So provided we beat Fulham we win all round.
In all honesty.. I could care less. The main objective will always be, take care of our own results, we do that, then we should finish 4th...
Beat Fulham and whatever the result at the Emirates is, we also win. Funny as hell if Utd get trounced though......
Man Utd win hopefully. Man Utd need at least 30 points from their last 13 games to hit the 70 point target of top 4. They've only won 12 out of 25 games so far this season, and we're supposed to believe they'll win at least 10 out of 13??
