Guess today was the day for Hawaii Five Nil. Darn. I didn't back him because 15/8 was too short last night, I see he returned a palatable 11/4. Missed out.

Gotta change my double. George Fenton race now only has 4 runners, so too risky. Instead BIG BAZ and Wolves 5.30 MEDAM.

I did actually back my Strictly Silver in the end Ron but also included a reverse forcast with Big Baz which as long as SS does not shorten too much should cover the stakes if beaten by Big Baz.

I liked the way Medam won last time Mark and felt had a bit in hand but I would be worried about the drift. I have backed Special Vintage in that race as I feel his turn is at hand from his current mark.

Good luck, I already had a loser which looked a pathetic favourite. I think its a weak market today with all the 50p eachway gamblers in the bookies!!

    Good Call Uncle <applause>

That was the other I contemplated taking on Baz with. A fascinating race to watch and jockeyship counted for such a lot in my view as Strictly Silver rode from the outside to get a place and as is often the case had nothing in the final furlong, the bigger error however in my view was on Big Baz as Probert did not make enough attempt from a decent stall 4 to take a position and ended up having to sit at the back. Baz's mark looks reasonable but he is clearly not far ahead of it as the price would have suggested, he can win again from it however. Star Links did what we all knew he ran to the mark he holds and gave his best whilst Luke Morris kept it simple by sitting behind the lead and travelled well.

The only other bet for me today in the last

    BADA BING

    6/1

I used to think that I could not go on
And life was nothing but an awful song
But now I know the meaning of true love
I'm leaning on the everlasting arms

If I can see it, then I can do it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it

    [Chorus:]
    I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread my wings and fly away
    I believe I can soar
I see me running through that open door
    I believe I can fly
    I believe I can fly
    I believe I can fly

See I was on the verge of breaking down
Sometimes silence can seem so loud
There are miracles in life I must achieve
But first I know it starts inside of me, oh

If I can see it, then I can be it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it

    [Chorus]

Hey, cause I believe in me, oh

If I can see it, then I can do it (I can do it)
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it

    [Chorus]

Hey, if I just spread my wings
    I can fly
    I can fly
    I can fly, hey
If I just spread my wings
    I can fly-eye-eye-eye
    Hum, fly-eye-eye

Just watched the race on ATR replay. He was odds on for most of the day but ended up Evs (unluckily for Mark). Left with far too much to do and never in it. You folk were right to dismiss him.
