I did actually back my Strictly Silver in the end Ron but also included a reverse forcast with Big Baz which as long as SS does not shorten too much should cover the stakes if beaten by Big Baz.
I liked the way Medam won last time Mark and felt had a bit in hand but I would be worried about the drift. I have backed Special Vintage in that race as I feel his turn is at hand from his current mark.

Good Call Uncle That was the other I contemplated taking on Baz with. A fascinating race to watch and jockeyship counted for such a lot in my view as Strictly Silver rode from the outside to get a place and as is often the case had nothing in the final furlong, the bigger error however in my view was on Big Baz as Probert did not make enough attempt from a decent stall 4 to take a position and ended up having to sit at the back. Baz's mark looks reasonable but he is clearly not far ahead of it as the price would have suggested, he can win again from it however. Star Links did what we all knew he ran to the mark he holds and gave his best whilst Luke Morris kept it simple by sitting behind the lead and travelled well. The only other bet for me today in the last Sweet Vintage 5-1

Just watched the race on ATR replay. He was odds on for most of the day but ended up Evs (unluckily for Mark). Left with far too much to do and never in it. You folk were right to dismiss him.
