Everything we're doing wrong should be adressed, from sponsorship, to the club shop, to fan engagement.

Shouldn't the council be addressed as an issue too? I was fairly sure you wouldn't be siding with them?

I agree, the whole thing needs looking at and shaking up, including HCC.

For those of us who live and work in Hull beating Liverpool means more than it should due to the high number of local ****s who turned their back on their local club believing it could never come back and bite them on the arse.

It was a historic win as we beat them fair and square in a meaningful game, not a Friendly or a Testimonial but a proper game. A milestone- and something to crow about in the workplace or pub in these parts.

Oh, I forgot- you're in the Home Counties.

You fail to address the point of this thread which was that we have the lowest matchday and commercial revenue in the Premiership. Sure a massive sponsor would help, but how can we increase the matchday revenue?

    Get more people to spend?

Get the existing people to spend more?

    Both?

    If so, how?

How do other clubs do it?

I think Geraghty is cock, who right royally messed things up, but the council are no longer the problem, they are very keen to look at a development around the KC, the problem is AA will simply not talk to them.

He's very keen for the site to be developed, it's on his patch, but he's not had any success in getting AA back round the table either.

Not really sure what you are driving at?

I imagine most of a footballers income goes into savings and rent/housing. Never to be seen by the ordinary fan.

Has AJ considered the Ehab route I wonder?

Maybe he is not so entrenched and takes a longer term view than his 77 year old dad?

I'm sure he isn't, but there's no way he's going to against his dad's wishes.

Maybe he is a better route than the direct one, and has less of a closed mind as well as being odedient (subservient?) to his dad?

There may come a day sometime soon when Ehab has to front up the family's interests.....

Investing in it, not buying it. There would be no ongoing financial commitment as far as I understand.

That day may come at some point, but it hasn't yet, otherwise the name change nonsense would have been binned some time ago.

Ehab will only go against his father, if he is apposed to him on any issue, if he passes on, or is incapable of making any sort of decision himself.

I asked the very same question of a lawyer who represents players. He said that around 2% invest in clubs after they finish playing. His view was that most of them you wouldn't want as investors anyway.

I've posted ideas on every thread that has come up of a similar nature. I've no links to the club but plenty do I'm sure.

What's the point of writing down ideas when they don't go anywhere. I know I'm equally as able to get them to the table, but someone needs to be the collector to post these on - I thought this was an aspect of the CTWD group

Geraghty offered Assem Allam a joint venture to bring his vision of a sports' village to reality. Assem Allam said no. He doesn't want a joint venture nor does he want to build an extension on a council house. For an example of what's possible with a council owned ground and two willing participants have a look at this:

Or even the Liverpool club shop selling T-shirts saying Liverpool 6 Hull City 1 with the club crests and the goal scorers the day after the match.

How ridiculous is it, that a businessman refuses to sit around a table and just listen to what a council have to say ? That is so infantile.

All Assem Allam has to do is listen to their proposals, if he doesn't like them (the proposals) then fine, no one can force their ideas on him. What does he have to lose ?

Yes they've talked before, but why would they come back if they didn't have a fresh approach, different ideas ? Shouldn't Assem be curious to hear what they have to say this time ?

This reminds me of the time when he point blank refused, to talk to Leicester city about any possible transfer dealings between the two clubs, it's just cutting off your nose to spite your face, it's childish.
