I don't get to see anything outside of the first team. Which of these 3, if any, are likely to break into/make a name in the senior squad?

Further more. If we're not going to break into the top 6 due to spending power, would you accept being a mid table club if we played decent football with young local, or at least English lads, playing like they cared?

I'd give all of them a bash and lets see how they get on.

Campbell's at St Mirren at the moment and has bagged a couple of league goals. Maybe he could do a Paul Dummett and force his way in to our plans next year. He's quick but perhaps a little small and lightweight. He's 19 now, but at least has made a few appearances for us already.

Quinn, I don't know much about. From what I've seen on clips, he's a big target man.

Armstrong- there are a few clips of him on youtube, and he looks like a good finisher. From what I've seen, it looks like he is quick, small, and very strong (hence everyone keeps calling him the next Wayne Rooney). Hoping he can make it as a number 10 for us. I was very disappointed he didn't get a bash today, it would have been a tremendous boost for the academy if he'd got some game time.

On the whole, its far too early. But its encouraging to see 3 Geordie strikers knocking on the door.

Quinn had a good game against the Sunderland youngsters.

Fingers crossed we can produce some good talent for the 1st team. Let's face it, our days of buying a superstar like Shearer are long gone. We MUST produce our own to stand any chance of competing with the big guns.
