Won't it be 3 games? ie 1 game for the professional foul, plus 2 more for his previous 2 reds this season?
Sunderland's one of those clubs where the fans you meet in real life are decent, but on the Internet they're all ****s. Kind of like a reverse Stoke.
Love the breakdown of our songs on there. I've wondered before what other fans must think of the McShane song. They seem genuinely offended by it on that thread
This is the best thread: http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/elmo.876265/ They call Elmo a **** for dancing in front of our fans after the final whistle apparently to piss of the Sunlan fans, not knowing that he does that nearly every time we win...
I said last week I'd be back this week, sooooo.... Well done lads, deserved, easy to blame Wes but at the end of the day teams go down to red and the other doesn't capitalize, you took full advantage and pressed us constantly, Long was outstanding. I noted Bruce on the sideline and he showed great restraint and a bit of class when the first went in, didn't see him for the second as I was too busy staring in horror at my feet. Anyway, enjoy it, all the best, and we'll get you next year!
Glad to see some fans can be classy, well done! Don't think many on this board would have done the same on yours so respect to you. Hope you stay up as I do quite like Sunderland - followed their results while we were down in the Championship as I always liked Sessegnon and a couple of other there - one being Elmo so pretty happy he's here now!
They do seem a bit obsessed with this idea that Bruce and Elmo really hate them. It's like the Leeds attitude where being hated is something of pride. That bit about him having a go at the linesman is funny though.
Don't mention Sessegnon man, I was distraught when he went! Facts are the red was about as clear as it gets, I sit square behind that goal and I basically just sat with my mouth open, I dunno what he was thinking, 1 down after 3 minutes is a better situation than 10 men for 87, but it's done. Could have been more to be fair, super Vito made several quality saves on top.
Mannone is absolute quality, was good to see him applauded when teams were read out. Funny that the teams have shared so many players and now a manager.
None of us were inspired by Vito signing, including me, he fell firmly into the 'well, only back up camp'. Lad gets better every week, he was always a good shot stopper but his command of the box has improved an insane amount, and after Mig it's good to see & hear a keeper directing the defense. The unfortunate side effect of this is that AC Milan, his team, seem to have noticed, and that would be one of those 'can't stop the lad from going and living his dream' situations. Italy have some smashing keepers in Sirigu, Consigli, Marchetti & Leali, but he can fight for an Italy shirt, but he probably will need to be at Milan. Replacing a top keeper 2 years in a row will be annoying as ****, so I hope he stays. He lives near me, and I often see him and Giacc in Tesco in the middle of the night, he's a big ****er, and a very well mannered lad. I hope his with us a while, but if he goes Milan, what can you say really, other than best of luck?
I think a lot of us went onto your board when you signed him and told you he'd be a good'un, but I think the overall response to that was 'meh'.
Yeah, I think most of us really related him to the young lad at Arsenal who never got a game, and as such when he did looked a bit lost. Add that to the fact we'd just lost Mignolet, who was not as good as Vito is now, BTW, and we were all a bit hasty. We love the lad.
And you are an activist for the world's future? Have you ever heard about such a thing as a good winner? This thread is an embarrassment to me.
