With 18 games left to save our season this is a monster of a game for the Chairboys as Accrington Stanley visit Adams Park looking for to pick up easy points like every other team who have visited the home of the Chairboys over the last four long months since our last home win. Things must change for Gareth Ainsworth team or else it will not be his team for very much longer, on a more positive note the much missed Dean Morgan should return to action with Steven Craig and JJP also available I believe only three points are available to the winners but a home win will be massive and we may all be able to start sleeping again without the nightmare of non league buzzing in our dreams all night. Our luck must change and I hope G.A. is the man to end this mess if not we will have to get someone who can.
Good to see Morgan back as he's been greatly missed up front though i'm not sure he'll start. Think we might just win this 2-1 but if it's another defeat i don't care how unlucky Ainsworth says we were (again!) it will be time to look for a new man to keep us up. He is popular with a lot of fans but that will change if we end up back in the conference and he'll be hated for it and 21 years of league football was wasted.
This looks a cast iron draw to me 1-1. We really need this win. Perhaps I should have a bet on Accrington to win. That should do it.
if we don't win, gaz will go. I cant see any other way. good to have deano back though, he is our best attacking player and the team does well when he does well. if he comes back with the correct attitude, as well as the return of steven craig (who is excellent!) and super-sub JPP we might finally be able to get shot of kuffour and have some firepower! COYB!
Kuffour's contract runs out at the end of the season doesn't it? There is no way that should be extended and he'll be lucky to end up in The Conference!
1 win in 17 and another game against opposition around us without a win.God knows when (I mean if surely!) we'll win a game.
I was planning to go to Cheltenham next week as i can get there but forget that! Why would i waste a day and the money?
Terrible match. Both teams were poor. 1st shot of the match came on 55 minutes, which in an all fairness to Styche was a great effort from 25 yards. His reward? To be subbed a minute later! Accrington used to be a team you looked at and thought they are awful, we should beat them. Now we are also that bad. Ainsworth wasted his remaining budget on two further strikers, when we already had four. Our issue is creating chances. You can have 25 strikers in your squad but if you don't create for them they won't score regularly. We are crying out for a midfielder who can pass. Kretzschmar is the only creative one we have and he is seemingly permanently benched.
Ageed very poor today especially first half Accrington came for the point and we never really looked like winning it as for the strikers we did need to bring someone in as all the ones we have are either goal shy or injury prone and I don't think the ones we brought in put much of a dent to the bugget but it is baffling as to why Max does no more than warm the bench. Thought Deano did OK for his first game for 6 weeks I take it that Mustoe was injured as he wasn't on the bench and Sam Wood had to play left back and left wing
perhaps he played well? can anyone at the game comment, ive heard he was the only decent player according to my mate there..... alternatively maybe every midfielder in the league was ****e
