Always wear a replica shirt, think the stadium looks better when you see a load of black and amber, obviously this doesn't apply to the morgue that is the west stand (apologies in advance to any west standers ) Like a few others have mentioned I haven't bought any gear with Cash Converters on it, I really dislike all those payday loan companies and legalized fences.
Id never in a million years wear a recent shirt - and by that I mean something from the past decade. This is moveable, so in a decade's time this season's shirt would be acceptable, It simply has to be retro and I would now defo wear the tiger print shirt.
I'm a never now, but always used to. Won't buy anything from Allam, not too bothered about Cash Converters, but my old shirts make me look like a fat bugger, which, over the last year I have become. Hmm, maybe a decent diet thread is called for. Oh well, breakfast, I'm hank marvin!
I usually wear one. I don't really know why I just always have done. I can see why people think it's a bit sad and I can understand the concerns with Cash Converters, but I also like the idea of the stand being a 'sea' of amber. Needless to say, I wouldn't ever wear a Hull Tigers one.
I've never worn a City shirt to games, I just stick with a scarf(thought I did wear a 'mauled' t-shirt at Wembley). Junior always wears one, but he hasn't bought a Cash Converters one.
I've got one but it's from our first premier league season. I've put on a couple of stone since then so it's looks like I'm in the tour de france when I wear it. I don a trad black and amber scarf and have a 'Los Tigres' tshirt I got from Jacamo, result!
Im with those that think it looks better and adds to atmosphere to see stands full of replica shirts and don't see anything wrong with wearing the shirt to games no matter what your age. Wearing a replica shirt when not going to a game after a certain age is a complete no (only time this can be acceptable is your using it as a training/exercise shirt yourself)
Yeah I'd only wear a shirt if I was playing football or doing some sort of sport, or watching the lads on TV. The only times I've broken that rule was when I wore a different City shirt each day the week we got promoted, and when I travelled over here from Aus.
Mine's getting relegated to the David Mellor school of bedroom ball games; the goalie might have another opinion though.
It's usually too bloody cold to wear a football shirt, and i'm a proper cold arse. I wore the signed shirt i won from Tigers co-op for Wemblee though, Justin Whittles is the only sig you can make out. I won't have to worry about wearing a Hull tigers shirt as i won't be attending the games of that club.
over half an hour between this post and the next. plenty of time for us to have wiped the sick from our mouths and booked a therapy session
That's a good question, i know Fez has has already stopped going. Who else on here ? I have a few friends who have said they won't be going.
Bought one most years for gardening etc but rarely wear at games for numerous reasons, the main being I'm getting on a bit now & it can be bloody cold, so no point wearing it under a heavy warm winter jacket. Really think they look very chavvy when worn away from games or worse still as a "Brit Abroad" on the beaches of Europe
I have already said (season ticket increase thread) that after over 40 years as a passholder I will not be going to watch Hull Tigers or spending a penny on anything Hull Tigers related
I always a training top from 3 seasons ago, it's warm but so comfortable. And the badge is actually the right size.
The only City shirt I've had and worn, that isn't signed etc. is the purple shirt from a few years a go.
