    Week 14 chaps, and assuming the 7am inspection gives the green light, the target race is the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury. If Newbury is off and Warwick on then the reserve race is the 3-15, a class 2 handicap chase. Fingers crossed for Newbs then!

    I'm glad I'm not having to go first. Wooly is bound to pick one on my short list, which has expanded from 1 to 6. A real headache of a race.

    Only the six, Ron? A lot less than me!

    Truth: you are being challenged by Jamba, so hold off from posting for now. If you may not be around by the time Jamba posts, then send me your selection, along with a reserve, in case your first choice is picked by him! But do look at the Warwick race, as all meetings are under threat in this current weather band.

    Interesting Wooly. That leaves me with 5 to choose from. Irish Saint, Smashing, Alaivan, Deep Trouble, Chris Pea Green.

    Irish Saint is too short in such a competitive race and I'd have to have him to win. I think it's going to be Smashing or Alaivan

    Bugger, I need to go to bed so I'll plump for Smashing ew

    This is a lucky dip, two i finished up with are Smashing and Deep Trouble! just a toss up for me, as Ron has gone for Smashing! i will plump for Deep Trouble ew

    Ok - my own efforts are Alaivan, Recession Proof, Cheltenian - and I have backed them all ew.

    However, for this comp I am going with ... Dell' Arca ew :D

    I cant see past Irish Saint myself but as Oddy as selected that one i will go for Rolling Star e/w - not too confident as i can never pick this horse right! Wins when i back against it, loses when i back it!
