I say it's time we realised we can't let people start with a blank slate. If Cellino proves me and every other doubter wrong I will be ecstatic, and very gladly admit it, but for now I'm going to assume he's going to carry on as he did last Friday and for the last 20 years in Italy. Some people seem to think giving a chance = ignoring the blatantly obvious and decrying anyone who doesn't as simply being negative.

And it's most certainly not Cellino or administration, there have been 2 groups very serious about buying the club. There will always be someone willing to buy Leeds United, the idea that it's Cellino or bust is straight out of the Ken "saviour" Bates handbook.

You are so far removed from reality I am worried about your sanity. We are on our way down the toilet. I arnt happy about the TO because of Festagate. But it really is a case quite literally of **** or bust.

So I was just imagining the other groups looking to take over? That is worrying.

You mean the man who has been propping up the club financially for months who GFH now refuse to pay and the consortium of experienced football people with years of collective experience in successfully running football clubs in this country, who were willing to show proof of funds to buy the club?

These "groups" looking to buy Leeds have had twelve months to get their act together. GFH said basically from day one they were looking for investors. Why didn't they come out of the woodwork earlier? They're having a hissy fit like their supporters because the current takeover wasn't put on hold to give them more time and risk losing the first buyer we have ever found with actual cash and a knowledge of running a club combined. As fans, were overdue some good news and positivity.Personally Im going to have some celebratory drinks this weekend

There are no other groups wanting to take us over. Not one had the cash to do a deal as soon as Flowers wouldn't put his cash into a fifteen person consortium.

All you can do is buckle up for the ride. It may be bumpy but at least we are still going to be here.

Or you can actually go and look at the facts, but it seems that's gone out of fashion on here.

    What facts?
Who actually had the cash available to do the whole deal without staged payments when the music stopped and GFHs cash and interest in LUFC ran out after peddling us around everyone with a few quid in the bank. That is the only fact that mattered.

We have looked at the facts Simon and came up with what we believe to be the best option for the club and us fans.Fed up with skint groups looking for a future meal ticket out of our pockets.

Simon the only thing Bates ever got right was when he spoke about chancers, tyre kickers and skint nobodies who wanted to buy the club through vanity. I do however admti that one group who had a bid on the table were cheated because of FSF saying they were owed £19m and they would forget it as long as Bates stayed in charge ..... A fooking joke, cheat, fraudulent set of bastards stole the club from them with the assistance of KPMG

Thing about Cellino is he is he has been running a football club, a small provincial one, pretty successfully over the last 20 years or so. He has his own ways and idiosyncrasies, but he has now sold that other club, and LUFC is his number one priority.

Whatever our worries or concerns, we owe it to whoever comes in to give them the chance to show us their colours and respect and receive ours back. It's no use slating the guy right from the start, despite the cock-up regarding BigMac.

As for the others, which ones are steeped in running football clubs?

We have no choice but to accept him as on our team now, at least for a short while.

I'm willing to wipe the slate clean after last weeks debacle, but only that's only on the basis that he's not just another 'all talk and no action ' owner.

Let's face it the bottom line is that he was the only one who could actually show us the money. His apparent interest has only been made public in the last couple of weeks or so. The others have, as usual, been fannying around for months.

The guy obviously has experience of running a football club, more than most of the owners in this country. Give him the chance to prove he can get us in side. I really hope he gives Mcdermott the rest of the season and if we're happy with how the last few matches pan out then he should be given at least one transfer window where he is actually fully backed.
