Robbie Savage has predicted relegation for Norwich, Cardiff and Fulham. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25906151 Here's what he says about us: Sunderland: League position: 14th Top scorer : Adam Johnson (nine goals) Savage's view: Gus Poyet has got them playing good football in terms of passion and hard work and they also have Adam Johnson, who is in fine form. Did you know? The Black Cats were bottom at Christmas and only one team in the Premier League has stayed up when propping up the table at that stage of the season - West Brom in 2004-05. Gus Poyet (Sunderland, appointed 8 October): 1.35 points per game over 17 games More clubs in the bottom half of the table have changed managers during the course of the current campaign than in any of the previous six seasons. Seven managerial changes were made by this point in 2007-08, while Michael Laudrup's departure from Swansea on Tuesday means six have made way this time. Sunderland and Crystal Palace are the biggest beneficiaries of changing managers during the season. Since Gus Poyet replaced Paolo Di Canio on 8 October, Sunderland have picked up an average of 1.35 points per game, while Tony Pulis is averaging 1.33 per game, a marked improvement on 0.58 prior to his arrival. Sadly for Fulham, they are yet to experience the new manager bounce. It looks like we safe then?
Not yet mate. We are on a crest of a wave, full of confidence and if we continue as we are, we will be safe. This kind if comment is a bit premature in my opinion...
The facts are all fine but I'm afraid Savage is talking ****e as I'm sure you already know. "Hull are also beating the teams around them in the table and that is essential for teams in their position." Hull have beaten one of the last seven 'teams around them' and Palace did the double over them As for the 'did you know' fact ............ the Mexican fisherman who's been adrift at sea for a year knows that fact ffs We don't need the likes of Savage to tell us how well we're doing do we? The form table, for the bottom 10, says all we need to know, Sunderland are currently gaining 3, almost 4, times the points than the likes of Cardiff, Swansea & Hull. However, there are still FORTY 'six pointer' relegation matches so any predictions are premature. Sunderland could still finish bottom.
I think we beat Norwich (H) West Ham (H) Sunderland (H) and Fulham (H), but maybe you missed those results? Well thank goodness we are both safe from relegation, thanks to Mr Savage, both teams can enjoy the game tomorrow without any pressure
I actually said, "Hull have beaten one of the last seven 'teams around them' ............ " Fulham are the 'one' Besides, Savage said Hull 'are' beating not 'were' beating ........... as a wild guess I reckon Hull won half of their games in August & September which must worry you. I reckon there's huge pressure on both teams tomorrow. Defeat for Sunderland would totally burst our bubble and defeat for Hull would land them right in the ****. We've been in the **** all season so I reckon we'd recover again but Hull might struggle. A draw would be fine imo, it would keep our decent form going and I'm sure we'll get points from the next few games. I reckon there will be a few goals in it tomorrow and I'm hoping for a good atmosphere and a cracking match.
I read what you wrote, but fortunately points throughout the season count towards the total (Are you sure what you wrote actually makes sense?)
Errr ........ yeah, 100% ...... is this some kind of weird wind up? I specifically said the last seven games. As I made clear 'Savage said Hull 'are' beating not 'were' beating ............. that makes perfect sense.
Haha A Sunderland fan calling me a mong - have any of you had any education beyond GCSE? I wasn't aware he asked a question. Our current form is below par, nobody disputes that - we probably need four more wins and a couple of draws - it doesn't matter when we get those points. Three points tomorrow will be welcome. See you tomorrow at 5PM!
To be fair you may need a little education yourself, he didn't say you answered a question ...... he was quite rude to be fair but he's like that with me usually You did answer my point, which was quite correct, although you struggled to comprehend somewhat. Banter aside I'm sure you're aware that Hull have only won 3 games, in the past 4 months, since the end of September. Winning 4 games in just over 3 months, for any relegation contender, isn't as easy as we'd all like to believe. Hull have 8 'six pointers' to play 6 of which are away games, plus Man City, Arsenal, Everton, Southampton & Newcastle at home. Away games are difficult for us all but home draws/defeats against the top sides can be just as hard. Plus home defeats are ultimately more demoralising than away defeats. I'm sure you'll be here at 5pm, depending on the result
Yep, always my fault ....... be careful saying '**** off' on here mind, I did it once but I think I got away with it
Yes thank you: 4 A Levels A Bachelor of Science with Honours Degree (1st Class) A Masters Degree ..and the additional letters CITP and IEng after my name. Is that enough for you?
Ppffftttt, I finished with a couple of D's, several E's and a couple of F's. I just couldn't concentrate in school, was to busy chasing skirt, playing football and sitting at home through the suspensions. My maths was spot on though and I learned all about grams, ounces and kilos. I've done perfectly alright for myself
I wasn't able to go into further education , sadly I left school at 15 without any formal educational qualifications. However , having read Mr. Tigers' post several times I can confirm that my use of punctuation is superior to his. Thick twat.
