The last time Cardiff had the chance to finally complete a league double over their Welsh rivals was the 96/97 season after completing a 1 -0 win away at the Vetch only to lose 3 -1 at home to a resurgent Swansea side that eventually went out to Northampton in that years playoff final. 17 years later the fixtures are reversed as City travel down the M4 once again in search of the double. With both teams struggling for points it is hard to argue which side are worse for wear. Despite City languishing in the relegation zone, last week's lucky win against Norwich seems to have given Ole's side a direction finally after a Christmas period best forgot. Compare this to a Swans side that has been on a downward spiral since their Cup triumph last year. Laudrup finally seems to losing not only the board but the fans amid rumors of dressing room upheaval and his own resignation at the end of the season regardless of their league position. However, all this would be put aside if the Swans were to beat their arch rivals at home and win their Europa League tie vs Napoli. A crucial game for both sides. To add a bit of spice to proceeding's in the league I'm feeling generous with the points - so this week's South Wales Derby it's Double Points (But only on the results not scorers!) C'monnnnn Cityyyy!!
I'll get the ball rolling with a 2-1 success against against our near neighbours. Goals from Noone and Mutch please!
3 -0 Swansea---------------------then I'll wake up! Slept like a baby last night , slept for an hour , got up and cried for an hour, slept for an hour ----------
Monk and Curtis to use their knowledge of these games to inspire the Swans to play above themselves, 2 - 2 draw please Sheep. KWJ and Bellers to score for us. Keep up the good work Sheep. Thanks.
Only a one goal difference in the last three derby's and all of our 5 wins this season. Therefore 1 nil Cardiff with Mutch smashing in. Hopefully!
