The <doh> was appropriate because it so obviously isn’t last chance saloon so nothing more needed to be said.

You have now caveated it by suggesting that if he messes up this time then a bigger club won’t come in for him. Well that’s almost definitely true because that limits the clubs to about 7 or 8 in world football and obviously they wouldn’t go for him if he messes this up. But I wouldn’t say that question really proves anything. Cant see what the need is for him to have to only go on to a bigger club

As he is only 24, do you not think its conceivable he could move to a smaller club next year have a great season then get signed by a bigger club or even win a cup competition while at the smaller club?

As we are talking hypothetically the answer is obviously yes that is possible. So it isn’t ‘last chance saloon’ then at all even if you take your werid requirement that he spends the rest of his career at one of the worlds biggest clubs

All have been slated on here much more than golden boy, but as ****e as they are..all actually tried (harder-maybe?)

PD..Thats what he should have done or maybe even with us, but he's convinced he is to big for us so who do you suggest will take him, after his past 3 years performnces..On that tact then maybe we should get granero back and Bos. both can play footy and granero has been trained at bigger clubs. maybe a move to a smalle club would help his...hold on..oh no..tried that and didnt work.!

Get the point? "penny dropped" yet for you.

Have to agree with Eamons post and very rarely does he get it wrong or make a bad post?
i accept that you are an AT fan & thats good. just your man hasnt covered himself in glory the last 3 or so years and hopefully a move to milan with a slower game and stricker training regime will work for him...God knows he needs it.

Personally, i've just got bored with the second coming of a football god that just hasnt happened.

Kissing the Fulham badge and panning us was the final straw for me..sorry, no going back after that!

Impossible to get the likes of you to see sense because you create your own arguments and accusations to suit yourself.

You’ve created the position that he is either a ‘football god’ or an abject failure. And Eamon says that if he doesn’t stay at Milan or move to a bigger club over the next year then his ruined his last chance?! Eh

Why do you create this measurement of failure or ‘football god’? Why no middle ground that every other player we have is allowed to inhabit.

You say you agree with the point of last chance saloon but I bet you can’t answer directly why is it impossible for him to sign for someone else next year and then find his form?

He’s just signed for AC Milan. And this thread was to congratulate a player who has done so much for our club.

All those jumping on this thread saying he is going to fail are the same people who when he signed for us in 2009 said he isn’t going to go anywhere because he doesn’t run around aimlessly and kick people. It’s the same people who I argued with when we had lost to Peterborough away and we Priskin up front and Mick Harford wouldn’t even put him on the bench. Even our promotion year the same people were looking to have a dig wherever possible and he didn’t even get player of the year.

Now that he has signed for one of the biggest clubs in the world you cant let it go and have to get a few more digs in. He’s a football god’ or a failure.

Actually you should let it go, wish him well and have a bit of respect for a player who gave us our best season over the last 20 years.

i shoul let it go eh?//......you have managed to select 2 words from my whole post and make an argument thats suits you..based purely around 2 single words? and you accuse me of making an argument out of my own rules...Pathetic.
i said to Col (and he will back me up Im sure0 that maybe adel will do wel at milan. i dont follow italian football much but from memory its a lot slower but more technical. they have a much stricter regime towards training than us and will tolerate no slackers.
For the record, i always said he had skill, what i also said was that he would not cut it ON THE PREMIER LEAGUE...simple as1
i've previously sugeested that he needs to take his talent to another country, France, and wiat for it...ITALY to maybe rebuild not only his career, but his self confidence.
Serie A has been littered with good players that didnt make it in the Prem. adel could join that band if he buys into the professional way of being a footballer...

the football god tag was given afte we were assured he was as good as the young Zizu, barca were after him & PSg offered 16 Mill.....all bulls**t as we well know.

i posted many times, that if he could get his head together and get with the program..he COULd be a decent prem player, not the standard of Ronaldo, but a good solid player.

As for the rest of your tripe, i cant be bothered. you are now very firmly in the minority mate and as much as I'd like him to do well....His kissing of the Fulham badge and putting us (and now all English clubs) may well be true, but is completely disrespectful to the clubs and fans (of which you are one) who are currently making him a very rich boy. i say boy because he certainly isnt a man yet.

I agree with Eamon purely based on the miracle of "sight & Television"

Every othermanager on the planet will have seen (thats the sight bit) exactly what AT can do through either seeing him play or the miracle of television!

If you were a manager and had watched Adel over the past 2-3 years...would you sign him?..Honestly.

Hes had 2 premiership clubs, 3 years in the prem and 5 diffrent prem managers. Are al these clubs and managers and chairmen wrong...or do you think that maybe, just maybe there may be a common denominator..

you sound like a smart bloke..you work it out...Let me know when the "penny drops"..<ok>...<laugh>

As for your last sentence..areyou so starved of fame that all you wish for is some show boating..go watch man city mate. Supporting QPR aint about that!

So, in summary, everyone claims to wish Adel well, while many wish to re-enter the endless circular argument of his talent vs his attitude/professionalism.

This boy has the talent to rip any league up, which is not the same as saying he will. But I hope he does, and its great entertainment finding out.

Forza Milan!!!

Sb is right, it’s a circular argument so not gonna respond to all those repeated points as its been done but to just quickly justify why I picked out a small part of your post its because you have scatter gun/ranty approach and some of which I don’t understand (‘starved of fame’??). So rather than sifting through all of it I picked out the key part of your post which a lot of this centre’s on and was a theme repeated by other posters.

Also your line “as for the rest of your tripe, I cant be bothered” before going on to add pargraphs more to an already lengthy post is as close as I am going to get to an admission that it is wrong to say this is his ‘last chance saloon’

Good try mate.no-one is buying it though..as can be seen by other posts.
PD..i usually like and respect your posts, but endless backing of a player that deserted us when we needed him most only to make himself even more stupid is getting tedious.

You pick out the parts that suit you mate..rather like someone elseon here who does the same..at least he has the decency to be consistant..you on the other hand and running scared..and i dont know why.
you rate Adel..fair enough..i personally think he's great in the righ circumstances.
Thats the problem, whilst having amazing talent, if you cant make training for a NPC team..then you int got any chance of making it anywhere...

So are you going to answer anything i said..would you sign him? do you believe others have seen him? are all the mangers wrong? are all other clubs wrong?
or
as is the norm are you gonna make a silly post and run away?

please answer the questions if you want anyone to believe your argument has any credibility?
of course you could go down the personal abuse route..might get you out of it....AGAIN

Bored now..unless you have anything worth listening too..?

I really think we can stop talking about Taarabt now. If he has a bad time at Milan, he won't come back to us. If he has a good time there, he won't come back to us. He's gone. Case closed.

Was about to say the same. I think the Premier League was too quick for nearly all our players in that case. It's funny how Taarabt is often singled out as the scapegoat for our under performance in the Prem when near enough our entire squad under performed and were found wanting. Selective viewing as usual.
